So many great lines in Beatniks, there's a character named Morrissey, "get Morrissey on the phone, tell him to stop crying!" and the main guy singing in the cafe, "I met this crazy chick...." "Frances Farmer?' oh and of course from "Santa CLaus v The Martians" "the martian children get their breakfast in a pill". "pills for breakfast? what are they? Judy Garland?"

I saw Cinematic Titanic live years ago and thought it was a whole lot of fun - and I was happy seeing Joel again.

Yes R32, all the teen movies are great, especially when the actors are not even close to being teens. "The Ring of Terror" with the teen gang that includes the kooky chick, "that kooks me right out!" and the...ahem...not so young guy, "you're looking into ravaged face of a 40 year old". Zombie Nightmare, Monster a Go-Go, Rebel Set, The Girl in the Gold Boots, so many teen gang ones. And again, the Beatniks, where not a one of them was even remotely beat. "Beatniks? they're not even boat niks! more lieke geek-niks!"

The 1st Mst3k episode I ever saw was "Teenagers from outerspace" ....I was absolutely hooked. I agree the kooky/teenage ones are the best. Also The Attack of the THE EYE CREATURES, essentially a teen movie too.

I think I have seen them before, R36, but they never gain traction. Yeah, I always put on the marathons while I'm doing stuff and then I stop and start watching them. It was so weird to see Frank on a thread while I'm watching "What to do on a Date", which, you have to see! The teen stuff is awesome. This spring one is fucking great too, someone broke character and said, "oh shit."

Thank God — I so preferred Mike! The sweet spot for me is Mike as experimentee and both Mads in Deep 13.

The forever-a-thon is on season 13 now and, wow, it stinks (as Joel would say). Crow is voiced by a woman, wtf? And Gypsy randomly comes down to make some unfunny riffs, and the movies are shit choices, cause they aren't all bad.

I hope the whole thing starts over tomorrow, or after the last few season 13 eps, I would love to start at the beginning.

R56 The new episodes are awful. Especially the host segments. The riffing is too self aware and trying too hard to be funny. And the jokes are much more tame and edge-less.

Yes R57! And too many jokes that won't hold up. Someone said there's too many references to shit like Marvel comic movies. And they just talk on and on instead of waiting for the right time to make one good joke. I now wish they'd shut up so I could see the actual movies.

Yep. The host outright yells the jokes. You expect to hear "Ba dum tss" every riff. It tries too hard. As a Joel fan (though I like Mike too) I prefer the more chill, subtle, drier humor.

At least we'll always have Manos, a Joel, with a great short, too.

Oh wow, John Travolta made it onto RiffTrax with the dumbest movie ever. Isn't this where he met the "love of his life"? I'm very excited to watch this. RiffTrax is way better now that MST sucks.
