I disliked the movie as a whole, to be clear. It’s a weird, pretentious, unnecessary, forgettable and exploitative film, with mediocre acting and writing, which was made worse by the fact that the real life underage victim of julianne’s character clearly expressed his distaste for the whole production. if the genders were reversed in the situation the movie wouldn’t have been made.

no one even consulted him about it but they nevertheless made it and forced him and his kids back into the spotlight yet again so that they could all get oscar nominations for a mediocre film that no one will remember in a year. it’s creepy and makes me think less of everyone involved.
