Barry Tubb

He was nude for the bulk of the soft core flick WARM SUMMER RAIN and appeared nude onstage in the Broadway play "Sweet Sue" with Mary Tyler Moore and Lynn Redgrave.

Not sure if he's really gay, but he played gay in the excellent TV movie Consenting Adult. Martin Sheen and Marlo Thomas played his less-than accepting parents.

"Consenting Adult" is one of finest TV movies ever made. It debuted on ABC in 1985. I was 22 at the time and it helped me to accept my gayness. This film had a tremendous impact on my life.

Here is the scene. I went to see " Sweet Sue" simply to see Barry naked. His body was spectacular, although male nudity on stage was frowned upon at that time, so he just sat in a chair with his back to the audience, as in the picture at R1.

He was a total dick in the iconic The Legend of Billie Jean.

I watched “Consenting Adult” when it aired but had it on silent so nobody could hear what I was watching. I was 13. I was like, “He’s supposed to be gay? He looks so normal!”

It was 1985. Unfortunately most of the images of gay men in the media at the time were the poor victims of AIDS.

It's one thing to use their images in advertising and trailers for the current project. I might even concede using unused ACTUAL footage as flashback material for a sequel. But, if they're creating new stuff with AI without compensating the actor that's just wrong.
