Step up from last year, when Rihanna slept through her performance. It was perfectly adequate. I don't think Usher looked fat.

I loved the roller skates but wish the producers did a few more wide shots so we could see the dancing marching band.

I’ve never gotten Ushers appeal. I grew up when he was huge and listened to R&b but I always thought his voice wasn’t great and he just wasn’t that sexy. Especially when you look at the other guys who were making music then. I was a big R Kelly fan back then before we all knew he was a sex offender and Usher seemed like a second rate immitation.

2022 was the best in recent memory.

It was better than many, especially last year's. I'm not a big Usher fan, though. I imagine if I were, I would have loved it. Hey Ya holds many nice memories for me, so I enjoyed its performance. For me, 2001 with Aerosmith, Britney, *NSYNC, Mary K. Blige, and Nelly was the best. It fit the times and was spectacular.

C+ for me. Wasn't awful but will quickly fall down the list of most memorable halftime shows.

Usher was bland beyond belief.

Imagine how if a [italic]real[/italic] soul singer (someone like Marvin Gaye or Al Green) had performed? We would have been hanging on every word.

Instead, we were presented with an exercise in shallow showmanship and soulless grooves. When doves cry indeed.

I think the first half of the halftime show was boring but the last couple of songs and the skating were pretty awesome. Usher has some bangers.

Pretty good as far as these bloated shitty medley performances go. Confessions is legitimately an amazing album.

Imagine if he had done the show with just a spotlight on him on the stage singing and dancing while the musicians are unseen offstage.

Why did he need to have a cast of thousands gyrating all around him?

He was sweating like a field hand! My friend said he should to change his name to Gusher.

He ought to be in the best shape he’ll ever be. He just wrapped up his Vegas residency, then a run in France, and is preparing for new world tour.

His vocals at the beginning were a mess. They got better. Usher has some good songs, but this performance was jumbled and kind of messy.

I refuse to believe H.E.R. is a real artist. She only pops up at events like this to play guitar. I have yet to hear a single song by her or even be made aware of the title of one, despite her being around for years.
