In what order do you think a Biden Super Majority Senate would impeach any of the current corrupt Supreme Court Justices?
Supreme Court Impeachments

Thomas #1.

I’d impeach Thomas twice just to make sure it sticks.

I think Clarence THomas and Brett Kavanaugh would have to be thinking about life after the Supremes. Following that, Roberts would resign, and then Sam alito. Gorsuch and Amy would hang on for dear life. But I can see Joe getting rid of three justices plus the Chief. If he could get 3-4 appointments we could breathe again. But we also have to look at the lower courts. BEcause Judge Cannon should not even be sitting as a federal judge. In fact I would appoint a special commission to review all the appointed judges under Trump's watch and look at their ratings and reviews. Too many unqualified lawyers slipped through. Things ought to get very tough. Ethics reviews, qualifications reviews, etc.
And we must never allow the GOP to have a majority in either House for the next 20 years. We have to purge all the little fascists. At the same time we have to get the state houses legislatures governors and secretaries of state under control, and the state court systems. They are getting away with entirely too much bad shit. We have work to do, people. But if we do it and get it right, we can relax a little.

Would they be impeached for their views or actions. Thomas has been particularly shady on conflicts of interest, for sure. What others have demonstrated misconduct?

R4, the only one who needs to be impeached for her views, is Amy, who lied to the Senate committee at great length about Starre Decisis. And she was a Manchurian candidate who flipped Roe at the first chance. Christian Evil.

John Roberts is for sure imeachable. The Federalist Society is a treasonous conspiracy.

I really don’t think you can impeach because of decisions. Impeachment is not a recall election.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | February 11, 2024 6:36 AM |
Supreame Court Justices are not elected, they are appointed, and there is no recall.
But you can impeach, as Republicans have shown us, for not doing a good job.
And that can be lying to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
How about having a wife that leaks opinions and was part of the Insurrection and somebody didn't recuse themselves.
Whatever reason the House decides, goes to trial in the Senate. And the very reason our Republic rests on a Democratic Super Majority.

Never happening.

Other countries would have long ago Romanov-ed the conservative branch of SCOTUS.

Again, is merely not doing the job you approve an impeachable offense? Impeachment is limited to “ Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.” Maybe Thomas.

Yes it's an impeachable offense. Treason against the Constitution.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | February 11, 2024 4:51 PM |
Wouldn't lying to Congress be a High Misdemeanor at least? Because Kavanaugh and Barrett definitely lied. As I recall, back in the 90's when he had his confirmation hearing so did Clarence And BTW: When you take an Oath to uphold the Constitution and then you incite an insurrection, or you support, aid and abet the insurrection, as some members of Congress did, you have committed a crime. Or two.

r13, Convenu!

I wish the Democrats had a chance at a super majority in the Senate somewhere in the near future but that simply isn't going to happen, The Republicans are likely to take control of the Senate in 2024 as Republicans are likely to hold all their seats that are up for reelection and Democrats are likely to lose seats. Manchin's Democratic West Virginia is gone to the Republicans for sure.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | February 11, 2024 5:50 PM |
Hogan in Maryland, and that Governor in West Virginia are going to win for the GOP. We have to figure out who we can eliminate. But maybe we have a chance to at least hold on, if not gain.

r15, women who realize that their vote for Democrats in the Senate is just as good as a state wide vote against repealing Roe.
Women will carry the vote.
