I went to college with Mark Spitz, saw him around campus a few times, saw him swim quite a bit at Indiana University. He was a member of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity that reportedly didn't allow Jews to be members but I guess they made an exception in his case because he was Mark Spitz, from what I heard he didn't live in the Frat but would show up occasionally for parties and the Frat could claim him as a member. I swam in the same pool as Mark Spitz a few times but not at the same time.
