Bill Ackman is emblematic of the corrupting power of money.
A billionaire who is not content to just have a lot of money. Now he's addicted to press, attention, and celebrity. He finds the most fervent and ardent supporters in his very public anti-DEI agenda. Untempered by conscience or reason, his only motivation is accruing followers on X. This is the fundamental problem with capitalism, it makes rich people believe they are the most important arbiters of culture and policy.
He has morphed into a Trumpian nightmare. His entire legacy will be that he was the loudest, more belligerent voice in the campaign to oust Harvard's first Black president.

What a schmuck. Privately, his wife is probably ready to kill him right now.

He tried to short the stock of the company where I worked—failed miserably.

Imagine having the gall to stand up to the pro-pogrom progressives!

Why wouldn't he? "Liberal" billionaires are interfering in academia, media, international affairs and even local DA's elections so why shouldn't he have his own playground. Besides, there is no need for DEI recruitment any more.

I think Ackerman wanted a friend of his to be president of Harvard and lost. His drug-induced hysteria scrawls keep repeating that Harvard didn’t listen to his advice. I believe the Hamas thing was just an excuse to go after that uppity black lady he didn’t want as revenge.
Harvard needs NO money. Harvard, Yale, Princeton - they have so many endowments that they could let every student attend for free. But then they wouldn’t be competing for the world’s richest people.
