From 1946-1960, AM 1050 in Washington, DC was WGAY. Named for owner, Connie B. Gay.

R8 There was a WGAY in DC through the 70s and possibly the 80s that played easy listening/elevator music. It may have been FM, not sure. My parents listened to it.
