Not OP, but I follow both my elderly parent's Chrome activity. I follow my mother's because she is Bipolar and I can tell from her web activity whether she has stopped sleeping/gone off her meds and I need to worry. I follow my father's because he's more than once gotten himself mixed up in internet scams and will frequently destroy his computers with viruses and ask for my help fixing them. I really only check in on his once a month or so, but my mother's I check once a week. She used to regularly read all of our journals as kids and eavesdrop on our phone calls, so I feel no guilt about invading her privacy.

OP, I do have a suggestion for you: sign into your father's facebook and change his posting settings so that everything he posts is set to 'private'.
