If the role of President had any real power, he should not be running. However, we all should know by now that being "President' is merely a role, one that calls for the President to be the public-facing "leader" (figurehead) of America. Every decision is made behind the scenes, and the role of the president is merely to report those decisions to the general public, at times with a lot of fanfare. This is the only reason that makes sense as to why the Democrats even allowed Biden to run again. He's a nice, grandfatherly, well-intentioned and harmless individual and as such, being the President, in an essentially name-only capacity, isn't such a travesty. I'd rather have a much younger, more vital, more future-thinking person as President, but only if that role had real power to change things and wasn't just carrying out what the behind-the-scenes deciders are ordering be done.
