“Tokyo Vice” is very good but it’s not a casual watch. Since much of it is in Japanese you have to pay attention and read the captions, and the relationships are convoluted.

But, yeah, it’s good. Season 2 is particularly strong when the narrative takes a three-month leap forward in ep 2.2, setting a lot of interesting stuff in motion. Elgort is effective and attractive if thin, and speaks Japanese fluently in the series, no easy thin.
