He has a point. I get sick of them too but is he on the spectrum? Aren't they kind of asexual? Of course, in that pic he's got major gay face.

In another thread here on dl someone claimed that Henry needed a circumcision because of an STD. Maybe that traumatized him and since then he doesn't enjoy the sex scenes anymore like he did in the Tudors?

Has he ever BEEN in a sex scene? Are there ANY sex scenes in mainstream movies? Maybe this is a bunch of weirdos complaining on twitter and it migrates over to the real world.

They do often seem to emerge from a poverty of imagination.

Definitely agree. Sex scene often come across as pointless, especially if the scene doesn't provide any new information about the relationship between the characters, or awkwardly goes on for too long. I admit that I like to see naked twinks. But 1) true twinks represent like 2% of all actors and 2) they rarely get sex scenes; so it's way more efficient to watch porn to scratch that itch.

I have always felt that the pornographic industry has a higher number of Spectrum performers precisely because the act of filming pornography is incredibly unsexy.

I agree with him. Sex scenes are overused. Rarely are they plot essential. It’s all about generating headlines and filling up nude screencap websites.

I’m glad we generally get less sex scenes in things than, say, twenty years ago. I tend to feel sorry for the actors having to awkwardly pretend they’re doing the deed. Nowadays we don’t need we’d sex scenes in film and tv to titillate us. We all readily have access to actual porn of all varieties.

I like the old films where they had to figure out how to have a sex scene without having literal sex on the screen but adults knew what was going on. I was watching Fanny on you tube and the heat between Horst and Leslie is so palpable and the mother is so humiliated by finding them in bed together without they're being married. And the scene that follows with her rejecting her daughter in a fury and Caron in hysterics is very powerful.

Or the scene in The Lady Eve with Fonda and Stanwyck's shoe. I also like the scene in Palm Beach Story where Colbert accidentally steps barefoot on Rudy Vallee's face breaking his glasses which he enjoys.

Also in The Barretts of Wimpole Street where Laughton makes it known he's hot for his daughter DL icon Norma Shearer and the moment Norma realizes it. It's interesting that back then certain actor's could express heat on screen by just altering their presence. Lucky them.

They're mostly there for titilation. I don't mind them when they're brief, but sometimes they go on for too long and don't add anything to the storyline.
