To do anything but work, I looked through Spotify at who of the big 80s/90s female singers has the most songs with over 100m plays (the numbers are for all their songs, not just their 80s/90s ones)
Mariah Carey: 18
Whitney: 12
Madonna: 12
Celine: 12
Janet: 2
Feel free to add any others for anyone who shares my on-the-spectrum, work-avoiding tendencies.

I’ve always been surprised at Janet’s low numbers though she’s got a couple approaching 100m in the next month.

100 million isn't all that much on Spotify. (One billion is the big barrier that everyone wants to reach/)

R3: yeah the ‘legacy’ artists struggle on the streaming. I think Madonna would have a few more if her record company cared and got Spotify to combine all the radio edits and album versions of the same song but she still wouldn’t have any more than Mariah.
