[quote] They Don't Make Them Like Austin Butler Anymore
[quote] After Elvis and the Oscar-nomination, the 32-year-old actor is back with two buzzy projects: Masters of the Air and Dune: Part Two. He's got a burning ambition and old-school Hollywood charm—and steely-eyed focus on just one thing.

What charm, bitch? He's completely humourless.

Launch him into the fucking Sun, yesterday.

This guy is fading into obscurity faster than his fake accent.
Why are they trying so hard to make him happen?
He looks effeminate.

I'm watching that Masters of the Air and everyone is acting circles around him. How did he make it to an Oscar nomination?

He's sexy - good looking in a unique way, I think.

He can make it as a character actor or villain. He was the only actor in Once Upon A Time in Hollywood who could pull focus from Brad Pitt.

He looks like a trailer tard. He’s Chalamet part 2. Young Hollywood men are hideous skinny twinks bereft of charisma and talent.

I like him more than Henry Cavill because he has better feet but he is so unhairy. Like Timothy Charlomeng. I think this is normal though because women take the pill and that attracts them to men with more estrogen like the K pop artists. Cool but not my type.

R6: Unfortunately, he's already happened. Now it's just a question of longevity.

That peach fuzz mustache is just awful.
Plus I don't agree "he's already happened." I think it's just a case of the studios and PR people trying to foist someone on us no one really wants. It's Gretchen Mol Syndrome, only it's gone on for a long time.

R14: I say “he’s already happened” because he got the Elvis nomination and is in Dune Part Two and Masters of the Air. He’s clearly got Spielberg and Hanks in his pocket. I don’t get why Hollywood is so heavily invested his leading man career longevity and so adamant that everybody like him. Indeed this is definitely Chalamet Part 2. Someone being foisted on the public all the time.

I'd classify him as a one hit wonder. Yes he happened, but he's likely a flash in the pan.

r15 At least Butler actually did some work for it, unlike Chalamet who did a couple of roles and then somehow ended up with a mega-agent

I think they wanna make him happen because the following leading men failed: Armin Hammer, Liem Hemswart, Douglas Booth, Dua Lipa, Joseph Garden-Levit.
They don't want another failure and Austin is important because he has a twink-like body. Just like Timothé and Tom Holand. It is important to make these twink men popular because Hollywood wants Western competition to the twink boys from the K pop bands.

R17: Speaking of agent, is Brian Swardstrom still representing him or what? He said he was retiring as an agent but accompanied Chalamet to the Globes and the Mexico premiere. I've always thought Brian and Timmy were a lot more than agent and client...

r19 At the time he announced he was quitting it was said he'd keep on as Chalamet's - and only Chalamet's - agent. And that he's going to join his husband as a producer - his husband who produced CMBYN and Bones and All. So yeah, something very odd and intriguing is going on there.

R20: Out of all his clients, he probably makes the most money off of Chalamet so I can see why he'd want to stay on Chalamet's team in some way. How he signed and agreed to sign Chalamet is very fishy. Even if they fooled around only once, they are way more than just agent and client.

I’m so over these faux angsty brooding poses that border on self-parody.
Enough.
