Taylor is so much more popular than Beyonce right now and it isn't even close. Midnights gets something like 9 million streams a day and it has 8 billion streams so far. Renaissance gets less than 2 million and less than 3 billion streams total. This, despite the fact that the media wouldn't shut the fuck up about Renaissance "bringing house music back" (it did no such thing) and hyping it like it was going to be the biggest album of all time.

Howard Stern exposed Bey's lousy vocals when she appeared live on The Today Show, breathing (not singing) If I Were A Boy. It was painful. That was her REAL voice. She's in league with Linda McCartney and Britney Spears as a manufactured singer. Sad.

B can sing better but that's not saying much. She's a great entertainer with a good voice. Her sister's instrument is far superior.

Like Beyonce, Taylor Swift had a relentless stage dad pushing her along when she started, a big work ethic - her vocals, while always thin, have improved a lot over the years - and the sort of beauty that appeals as much to women as it does men (in Taylor’s case, maybe even more?), but I think, like Carole King, Taylor actually has a real genius for writing evocative pop bangers.
