by Anonymousreply 5February 6, 2024 10:31 AM

From chewing tobacco?

by Anonymousreply 6February 6, 2024 10:34 AM

Wow, he was rather young to kick it. A complete asshole & he's been completely replaced but other faux patriotic insufferable auto-tuned hacks, but still...that's young.

by Anonymousreply 7February 6, 2024 10:35 AM

Did he not know about essential oils and ivermectin?

by Anonymousreply 8February 6, 2024 10:37 AM

Good.

by Anonymousreply 9February 6, 2024 10:55 AM

Wasn't he racist trash?

by Anonymousreply 10February 6, 2024 10:59 AM

I'm sad he didn't get to see Trump lose again.

by Anonymousreply 12February 6, 2024 11:02 AM

It's the Trump Inauguration curse! Every act who performed at that inauguration has met with a terrible fate!

(No, that's not true. But it sounds like the stuff MAGAs devour on FB, so pass it on!)

by Anonymousreply 13February 6, 2024 11:06 AM

[quote]It's the Trump Inauguration curse! Every act who performed at that inauguration has met with a terrible fate!

I'm waiting for the curse to hit Trump.

by Anonymousreply 14February 6, 2024 11:07 AM

Odious REDNECK TRASH! Now take Kid Rock, lord!

by Anonymousreply 18February 6, 2024 11:13 AM

The people who always claim this site only criticizes black women should read the nasty cunt comments in this thread.

by Anonymousreply 19February 6, 2024 11:14 AM

[quote]In 2004, Keith called himself "a conservative Democrat who is sometimes embarrassed for his party".[43] He endorsed the re-election of President George W. Bush in the 2004 presidential election and performed at a Dallas, Texas, rally on the night before the election.

Some Democrat.

Also from r19:

[quote]Let’s be Woke POC ... I’m fat, ugly and untalented, but the woke ideology permeating the earth helps me live in my own fantasy that I’d be a billionaire superstar if it weren’t for evil whitey crackers.

[quote]Will you house migrants in your home? ... As we run out of space for the asylum-seeking migrants we must find ways to shelter them. Are you willing to help?

[quote]Why do young women fake being insecure? ... It’s so annoying, the whispery sexy affectations and timid giggles. Don’t pretend you don’t rip everyone’s head with your extreme pussy privilege, bitch.

[quote] read the nasty cunt comments in this thread.

Suitable comments for a nasty cunt who died of painful cancer. Bye, bitch.

by Anonymousreply 22February 6, 2024 11:28 AM

Thanks for providing receipts, R21. I guess R19 feels entitled to decide who's worth giving a damn about and who isn't.

Are the girls on Mumsnet not giving your posts enough attention anymore, hon at R19? Sad for you!

by Anonymousreply 23February 6, 2024 11:39 AM

Good riddance, asshole.

by Anonymousreply 24February 6, 2024 11:50 AM

You’re all a bunch of nelly faggs!

by Anonymousreply 25February 6, 2024 11:54 AM

Well my job is done.

by Anonymousreply 26February 6, 2024 12:01 PM

The politics trolls here will never just let us have a discussion about anyone. It’s always gonna have to be framed by politics, isn’t it?

by Anonymousreply 27February 6, 2024 12:02 PM

Death...isn't always sad.

by Anonymousreply 28February 6, 2024 12:04 PM

r27 is also a troll who's given us:

[quote]Who's ready for Black History Month?! ... If you're not, you better get ready for it!

[quote]New York to hand out &53 million in prepaid debit cards to illegal migrants ... Do they get extra if they beat a cop?

by Anonymousreply 29February 6, 2024 12:05 PM

A lot of country music acts pander to their audience and tell them political and cultural points they want to hear. The smart ones who don't agree with the stereotypical southern right wing politics just focus on the music and leave politics out of it so they won't alienate their fan base.

by Anonymousreply 30February 6, 2024 12:07 PM

Toby Keith’s I Love This Coffin and Headstone

by Anonymousreply 31February 6, 2024 12:15 PM

Valid point, though look at Tim McGraw - he's a country singer and a dem with (what appear to be) fairly liberal views. But to my recollection, he's never wrapped himself in the flag & pandered to wannabe dictators like Keith did.

by Anonymousreply 32February 6, 2024 12:16 PM

[quote]It’s always gonna have to be framed by politics, isn’t it?

That's a legitimately hilarious question to ask in this of all threads, but I'm not sure you're joking. Anyone too young to remember Keith's brand of patriotism should check out "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)." It's "Accidental Racist"-level bad.

by Anonymousreply 33February 6, 2024 12:22 PM

I had a colleague (about 70) who was diagnosed with stomach cancer end of July. She was dead three weeks later. My friends, who were closer to her than I, said she had said something hadn't felt right, but she didn't really have sufficient symptoms to go for a test. My guess is that, as we get older, we get used to intermittent and/or chronic (they can be both) feelings of discomfort and shrug them off, assuming we'd be running to the doctor every other week otherwise. And then it does turn out to be cancer (or something equally grim).

by Anonymousreply 34February 6, 2024 12:27 PM

I love waking up to good news!

by Anonymousreply 35February 6, 2024 12:28 PM

This whole "Oh, making it about politics again?" take is such braindead bullshit. Everything is about politics bitch. Grow up. Imagine, adults being concerned about how our society is organized and governed when it affects every facet of our quality of life. Imagine, adults relating things to politics when we have the agency to vote at the local, state, and national level. He's the one who chose to run his mouth about it and write propagandistic anthems for jingoism. If Toby Keith didn't want to be remembered for politics he could have refrained from involving himself in a majorly public and attention seeking way.

by Anonymousreply 36February 6, 2024 12:29 PM

Has little bulldagger Natalie Maines commented?

by Anonymousreply 37February 6, 2024 12:58 PM

R29 has posted 9 times in this thread and also keeps asking people for hotel advice.

by Anonymousreply 38February 6, 2024 1:18 PM

... and, r38? I started this thread. And I didn't "keep asking for hotel advice." I posted the thread below.

by Anonymousreply 39February 6, 2024 1:26 PM

What’s wrong with asking for hotel advice? R39, it’s obvious that r38 is a mole man who loves Dump. I don’t see any of that mole’s posts, I’ve had the MAGAT blocked.

by Anonymousreply 40February 6, 2024 1:44 PM

Has Kristin Chenoweth commented yet?

by Anonymousreply 41February 6, 2024 1:44 PM

Toby Keith was a Trump supporter who probably never got vaxxed. Getting covid expedited his death. We've lost another rocket scientist.

by Anonymousreply 42February 6, 2024 2:03 PM

R37? If you get to call her a "little bulldagger," I get to call you a sassy cocksucking faggot.

And if you don't think that's funny, well, you're just a humorless queen.

My son lives in Moore, Oklahoma, and the city has a water tower painted “Home of Toby Keith”.

From what I recall, he performed in Dubai for lots of money, similar to Beyoncé.

by Anonymousreply 51February 6, 2024 3:34 PM

During their feud, Natalie Maines wore a tee shirt that said "F.U.T.K." to an awards show.

When asked what it meant, she said it stood for "Friends United in Truth and Kindness."

by Anonymousreply 52February 6, 2024 3:52 PM

I may not have agreed with his politics, I liked Toby Keith as a performer. And he may have been more pop than country, his songs were catchy. I especially liked "God Love Her" and "How Do You Like Me Now."

R. I. P.

by Anonymousreply 53February 6, 2024 3:58 PM

I hope he's up there in the sky partying away with his Red Solo Cup. He had some fun songs. Sad way to go. May he RIP.

by Anonymousreply 54February 6, 2024 4:01 PM

He was free to die!

People who celebrate death of people who have differing opinions are sick humans. Disagree, fine… but wishing death is a sign of a psychopath. It’s disgusting when people do it about liberal celebrities too.

by Anonymousreply 62February 8, 2024 3:10 AM

As I’m not a fan of what was once called hillbilly music, I was surprised to see Toby Keith’s death got front page treatment in the Times’s paper edition.

by Anonymousreply 63February 8, 2024 3:12 AM

(rolling eyes at R62)

If you AREN'T wishing for the death of Nazis and traitors and bigots, you're a psychopath.

by Anonymousreply 64February 8, 2024 4:48 AM

I don’t get the attention his death is getting.

by Anonymousreply 65February 8, 2024 4:53 AM

R64 Toby Keith was not Hitler. You’re obviously mentally unstable.

by Anonymousreply 66February 8, 2024 11:43 AM

R64 tell us your opinion on this list. Do you wish them the best?

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 67February 8, 2024 11:44 AM

R62 I'm not celebrating Toby's Keith death, but I'm also not playing the revisionist history game, either.

Keith was a homophobic, racist Trump supporting MAGAt.

He does not deserve to be memorialized as some of kind of saintly figure.

He's dead. Bye.

by Anonymousreply 68February 8, 2024 2:04 PM

How sad. I hope he suffered.
