She and I (as well as she and most other family members) hadn't gotten along for years (she had rabbit hole issues), and she couldn't believe I was able to set aside our differences and feed her, wet her mouth and forehead, and physically take care of her in the hospice... But I did. And although she could barely speak, she asked me, "Why are you being so nice to me?"

But I had to be there. No one else could bring themselves (or wanted to do it, and I was so glad I did.

R122 - I agree Charles was a dick when he was younger, but from what I've read he mellowed with age, particularly after he married Camilla (presumably because the central conflict of his adult life had finally ended).
