I don't understand the criteria because OP can't write a clear sentence.

Is there such an album? I think with heavy metal if it’s great it’s known.

I want a little known heavy metal album that isn't a big seller like a Bon Jovi or Poison album which is probably what most DLers would post on here. I'd like some new headbanging music to listen to that isn't crap.

Bon Jovi...heavy metal? Seriously?

OP, you don't sound like much of an aficionado of the genre. Have a look at this list. Doubt you'd recognise the bands, despite them being pimped in Rolling Stone.

You're right R8 as I'm rather late to the party. I'd also like a DL recommended act instead of magazine top lists.
Believe it or not R7, I've met folks over the years who mention Bon Jovi when the subject of heavy metal comes up.

I don't know about albums but I think Black Sabbath's Paranoid is their best song.

There can be a fine line between heavy metal and hard rock and I think Led Zeppelin often tightroped that line.

R7 Yeah, I don't think of Bon Jovi as "heavy metal" either. .. I see wiki classifies them as "hard rock' and makes a note of them being "glam metal" - which goes along with "hair metal" or "pop metal."

Obscure? The Godz eponymous album. I still have this one somewhere. YouTube has the full album but this was the big single. Ha!
