When I was a kid I would watch this show with my folks, and I always disliked it when Bob was at his office with his weird patients. I always wanted him back at the apartment with Emily because I thought she was so cool. I also loved their apartment with its view from the picture windows.

I only know two things about Suzanne Pleshette. She was a great friend of Tennessee Williams and she enjoyed a good caning.

Compared to Fawcett, sure, but she was someone who was considered beautiful and sexy by just about everyone. Every review would mention her looks. I remember stopping what I was doing to stare for a while and then staying with the movie just to catch the credits to see who this actress was. I made a point of catching her on Carson from then on and she popped up a lot, often with nothing to promote. She’d just shoot the breeze and Johnny would say he and Joanne were going out to dinner with Suzanne and Mr Pleshette afterwards. She was in many tv movies through the 80s where she looking fabulous playing a milf type with a toy boy. I also recall she even played an incestous mother to a young sex on legs Tom Berenger.
