Is it me - or does Jodie look like she's been rode hard and put up wet (as my Dad used to say)? Jeez
She is a lesbian, so I don’t think rode applies. She is not much of an actress anyway, so bless her and her oscars
by Anonymous | reply 1 | January 15, 2024 1:48 AM |
She is a woman in her 60s who, at a young age, dealt with the media hounding her for something she had no control over.
Let her be.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | January 15, 2024 1:50 AM |
She looks like herself, which means she looks better than most of us.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | January 15, 2024 1:52 AM |
No. That expression is used to describe whores. Foster doesn't look like a whore.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | January 15, 2024 1:52 AM |
I think she looks fantastic. I just watched “Nyad” and was really impressed by her bangin bod - she clearly spends a lot of time in the gym.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | January 15, 2024 2:06 AM |
I’ve seen her in person. Recently. She looks good! No obvious surgery, good skin and really nice hair color.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | January 15, 2024 2:45 AM |
Jeez. She could at least shave. Fuzzy cheeks favor no lady.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | January 15, 2024 3:39 AM |
She's an exceptional actress.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | January 15, 2024 3:52 AM |
I’ve loved and admired her since I was 10-12 yrs old. She’s beautiful, interesting and intelligent. Always
by Anonymous | reply 10 | January 15, 2024 4:02 AM |
I think she always looks together, classy and smart. On a visual sidenote per the post's topic, though -- does she no longer have the very pointed, alien-like chin that she used to sport?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | January 15, 2024 4:06 AM |
She looks GREAT! What's your problem, OP?
by Anonymous | reply 12 | January 15, 2024 4:18 AM |
OK - I am overruled. All of these comments are valid. Maybe I'm jealous. She's 2 years younger than me and looks way better.

Clarice, are the lambs still screaming?

[quote]She is not much of an actress anyway, so bless her and her oscars. R1, who would you consider a good actress?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | January 15, 2024 5:06 AM |
2 years younger than I (look) OP.
One of the few actresses who hasn't succumbed to a lot of fillers/botox/plastic surgery. But keep in mind she has access to the best derms, facialists, skincare, and nutritionists. unlike we poor peons.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | January 15, 2024 5:06 AM |
Wups, US poor peons.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | January 15, 2024 5:07 AM |
Her acting always seems very wooden to me.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | January 15, 2024 6:06 AM |
My favorite thing she's done was direct Home for the Holidays.
I've always thought she was very attractive, but I think it's fair to say she looks a tad wizened and pinched now. This is no doubt a result of being so lean. To paraphrase Catherine Deneuve, after a certain age a woman has to choose between her ass and her face.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | January 15, 2024 6:21 AM |
She's no Priscilla Presley, that's for sure.
Very unnatural, her naturalness.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | January 15, 2024 6:34 AM |
Typical lesbian. Manly features.

Her skin above her upper lip looks like she has smoker’s lines (vertical).
by Anonymous | reply 23 | January 15, 2024 7:20 AM |
She’d look incredible for her age if she was 10 pounds heavier. The wizened look is lack of fat.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | January 15, 2024 7:28 AM |
She's 61. How do you expect her to look? Like a 30 year old?
At least she doesn't chase after youth, undergoing awful plastic surgery like Meg Ryan.
I hope she's smart enough not to smoke but maybe R23 is right.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | January 15, 2024 7:28 AM |
I think she looks pretty much the way most 60-year old women look who haven't had much, if any, work done. You can tell, though, by those telltale lines around her mouth that she was or still is a smoker.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | January 15, 2024 7:42 AM |
Okay, well then smoking is going to take a toll on her looks.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | January 15, 2024 7:48 AM |
She used to be gorgeous. Now she looks like a sourpuss lez. Still pretty though.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | January 15, 2024 7:56 AM |
She's 61. She looks fine to me. The best-looking 61 year old? No. But hardly terrible.

here she is on a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel
by Anonymous | reply 30 | January 15, 2024 8:03 AM |
You can get those vertical lip lines even if you never smoked.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | January 15, 2024 8:05 AM |
Definitely see the smoker's lines in R30's video. If she put on 20 pounds, she'd look better. Too thin.

This is what 61 looks like without excessive amounts of face altering plastic surgery OP. It's obviously a shock to you.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | January 15, 2024 9:21 AM |
I think she's pretty and kind of dignified looking. We just aren't used to seeing celebrities without filters, fillers, and just aging naturally.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | January 15, 2024 10:36 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 36 | January 15, 2024 11:01 AM |
She looked good on Kimmel. She looks her age but very nice and trim. When she was speaking about Taxi Driver she said Scorsese and De Niro were newbies to film and she had made so many more movies than they had at that time.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | January 15, 2024 11:05 AM |
OP is a fucking idiot. She looks good for her age, and is maturing nicely, without any indication of plastic surgery.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | January 15, 2024 1:18 PM |
She grew up in Southern California and was exposed to gigawatts of sunlight, plus she began her career with an ad for Coppertone, so the sun exposure alone would wreck many peoples' faces. That said, she looks fine, and if she wanted to look different she'd wear more makeup.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | January 15, 2024 1:28 PM |
I saw her at a q&a a few years ago and was surprised at how warm and funny she was with the audience. She always seemed like the cold intellectual type to me but she was a total goofball. And she looked fantastic.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | January 15, 2024 1:36 PM |
If she’d had too much plastic surgery, we’d be complaining. Tom Cruise is also 61 and look what we have to say about him. Now we’re complaining that she’s too wrinkled i.e. natural. Also, she’s too thin, too smart, too cold.
I’ve always liked her. She’s exactly my age and so I feel like I grew up with her.

Jamie Lee is incredibly try-hard and needy. I think Jodie would want to kick her, like the famous wounded bird.

She should tint her eyebrows darker. Her face would look less washed-out.
She should also depilate the lower half of her face. That is more than peach fuzz. That is a beard.

What a dumb bitch, she's aging too gracefully!
by Anonymous | reply 65 | January 17, 2024 5:52 PM |
Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore is a great movie and totally different than the TV series. Ellen Burstyn is fantastic in it. And anyone who saw Jodie’s performance would have known that she was a lesbian.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | January 18, 2024 1:53 PM |
She looks dessicated there, like she's out of estrogen. She always had a masculine chin. Please don't follow the Jamie Lee Curtis/Shirley MacLaine indulgently apathetic path to aging hideously! A little TLC would make her lovely.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | January 18, 2024 4:51 PM |
She looks like a senior woman who hasn’t been touched by a cosmetic surgeon. She looks great.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | January 18, 2024 5:42 PM |
Marilyn Monroe also had that peach fuzz, and it's actually a boon to actresses: it makes their skin seem to glow in movies.
Jodie has eschewed fillers and Botox throughout her career: she's comfortable with her skin looking the way it does. She would likely look fabulous if she had good subtle work done, but that's just not who she is: she's happy being a no-nonsense lesbian who happens to have fabulous cheekbones.

by Anonymous | reply 75 | January 18, 2024 7:02 PM |
OP I think you need your eyes checked. Jodie is an amazing actor and a good director. She's been doing it almost her entire life. She also is one smart cookie. She speaks French fluently and has a degree from Yale.
I think she looks amazing, is fit as f*ck and HELL YES I STILL WOULD.
Yes I know she and I are both married, but she's on the exception list.

by Anonymous | reply 82 | January 20, 2024 6:32 AM |
I think her starting out so young really helped her understand the part an actor plays in telling a story. As a character especially a lead you have a big responsibly to the story. Many actors want to shine and win Oscars and act in movies the director is not making. She understood as a child you are pushing the story. That's why Gene Siskel believed her to be a genius. A perfect example is her likely competitor for an Oscar this year Emily Blunt who in every scene but one in Oppenheimer was acting for herself not the story. She did that in that awful Girl on Train movie she made. She was just constantly breaking down trying to win an Oscar and I never understood her character's motivation towards the story. Funny enough she was playing a messy drunk in that too. She just picked that character back up.

Tommy in "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore" was lucky to find a cool lesbian pal in Tucson.
I love Foster in the scene at the jail, after Audrey (r/n Doris).and Tommy get caught shoplifting. Tommy is wearing a borrowed shirt because he threw up on his after having too much ripple. Audrey/Doris has a brief conversation with Alice--"so you're the singing waitress?"--and then just before her mother "Ramada Rose" pulls her out the door of the police station, she leaves everyone with a parting "So long, suckers" salute.

She looks great and natural for her age. I'm glad she hasn't caved in and had even "tasteful" work. I think she'd look great with an extra 10 lbs on her, but I don't think she's ugly because of that at all. And hopefully, she's happy with her life and doesn't starve herself or work out like a fiend. She's earned the right to not stress out about that.
Leave her alone. And make her an example of why it's okay to not cut your face up/fill it with shit just to fit some weird Hollywood beauty aesthetic.
