Black actor Clifton Duncan rips Diversity hiring .

Another euro black weighs in on American racial matters, haven't had that one in a while.
He's cute, but can we agree not to write a whole damn article when an actor with fewer than ten IMDb acting credits says something controversial? Then again, it is Newsweek.

Another Elon stan pushing the evils of DEI.

R1 And Euro blacks take jobs cause they probably fight less for salary, that’s why Hollywood replaced American actors with European blacks lol.

R3 Right. And god knows I love me some hot British dick but he needs to have seats.

Where does it say he’s British?

He’s quite handsome.
Here he is interviewing an eldergay, echoing many of the sentiments expressed on DL.
He sounds American.

He is American. Born in Germany with military parents assigned there. I knew he was in idiot when he refused to get vaccinated and the right leaning media ran to make him their poster boy.

He's right that DEI is destroying the arts, in general.
Talent and hard work are not priorities for progressives as much as pushing their 'woke' agenda.

Black actors are the most interesting characters .

R10 This is where you just start to get ignorant and expose your racism.
You’re well aware white actors get in through looks, nepotism, casting couch, etc.
You’re also well aware mediocre white talent gets rewarded and has to work less.
The idea that white people are more gifted and work harder is just “superior race” delusional nonsense.

I’m a male nude model photographer. I pick and choose who to shoot. I’ve shot all races. It just happens. It’s whoever comes to me or I find that I think is hot or beautiful or marketable. It’s not intentional.
There are photographers that shoot nothing but white guys. THAT is intentional.

The dilemma of DEI hiring, or what used to be called Affirmative Action hiring is the presumption that the candidate is unqualified and had to get a job through those means. The person might be eminently qualified, but there will always be that doubt.

Clifton Duncan ought to wish for more DEI because as it is, I’ve never heard of him nor seen any of the very few things he’s been in.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | January 12, 2024 2:44 PM |
He’s pretty stupid- on what planet does he think black actors could crack the institutionalized racism of the film industry?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | January 12, 2024 4:41 PM |
It’s refreshing to hear about an actor with integrity, like Duncan.

Exactly. Never heard of him. Maybe he’s been a lot of Left Behind or Ben Shapiro movies.

R21, the majority of TV and film actors are people you have never heard of. People had to be reminded during the strike that the majority of working actors are not just the few you see at the Oscars.
