Black actor Clifton Duncan rips Diversity hiring .

[quote]"And that's why I reject 'Diversity' hiring: I never needed it. It's an insult to any minority with a shred of self-respect. It casts a shadow over all I've done, because I'm not sure how much of my success is due to me, and how much is due to white guilt."

Another euro black weighs in on American racial matters, haven't had that one in a while.

He's cute, but can we agree not to write a whole damn article when an actor with fewer than ten IMDb acting credits says something controversial? Then again, it is Newsweek.

by Anonymousreply 1January 11, 2024 8:34 PM

Another Elon stan pushing the evils of DEI.

by Anonymousreply 2January 11, 2024 9:46 PM

R1 And Euro blacks take jobs cause they probably fight less for salary, that’s why Hollywood replaced American actors with European blacks lol.

by Anonymousreply 3January 11, 2024 10:04 PM

R3 Right. And god knows I love me some hot British dick but he needs to have seats.

by Anonymousreply 4January 11, 2024 10:14 PM

Where does it say he’s British?

by Anonymousreply 5January 11, 2024 10:31 PM

He’s quite handsome.

Here he is interviewing an eldergay, echoing many of the sentiments expressed on DL.

He sounds American.

Oh I bet this is your wet dream, OP!

by Anonymousreply 7January 11, 2024 10:40 PM

r3 "lol"

by Anonymousreply 8January 11, 2024 10:41 PM

He is American. Born in Germany with military parents assigned there. I knew he was in idiot when he refused to get vaccinated and the right leaning media ran to make him their poster boy.

by Anonymousreply 9January 11, 2024 10:47 PM

He's right that DEI is destroying the arts, in general.

Talent and hard work are not priorities for progressives as much as pushing their 'woke' agenda.

by Anonymousreply 10January 11, 2024 10:52 PM

I love the Negroes!

by Anonymousreply 11January 11, 2024 11:00 PM

Black actors are the most interesting characters .

by Anonymousreply 12January 11, 2024 11:38 PM

R10 This is where you just start to get ignorant and expose your racism.

You’re well aware white actors get in through looks, nepotism, casting couch, etc.

You’re also well aware mediocre white talent gets rewarded and has to work less.

The idea that white people are more gifted and work harder is just “superior race” delusional nonsense.

by Anonymousreply 13January 12, 2024 12:34 PM

I’m a male nude model photographer. I pick and choose who to shoot. I’ve shot all races. It just happens. It’s whoever comes to me or I find that I think is hot or beautiful or marketable. It’s not intentional.

There are photographers that shoot nothing but white guys. THAT is intentional.

The dilemma of DEI hiring, or what used to be called Affirmative Action hiring is the presumption that the candidate is unqualified and had to get a job through those means. The person might be eminently qualified, but there will always be that doubt.

by Anonymousreply 15January 12, 2024 1:19 PM

Clifton Duncan ought to wish for more DEI because as it is, I’ve never heard of him nor seen any of the very few things he’s been in.

by Anonymousreply 16January 12, 2024 2:44 PM

Duncan bio.

He’s pretty stupid- on what planet does he think black actors could crack the institutionalized racism of the film industry?

by Anonymousreply 18January 12, 2024 4:41 PM

It’s refreshing to hear about an actor with integrity, like Duncan.

by Anonymousreply 19January 12, 2024 5:01 PM

T'aint fittin'!

Exactly. Never heard of him. Maybe he’s been a lot of Left Behind or Ben Shapiro movies.

by Anonymousreply 21January 12, 2024 5:08 PM

R21, the majority of TV and film actors are people you have never heard of. People had to be reminded during the strike that the majority of working actors are not just the few you see at the Oscars.
