And it’ll only cost ya $3,500 or 7 easy payments of $499.99/mo. Imagine the 3D cum filling up your entire living room instead of your butthole. Anyone getting one when it’s released in February?

I think the metaverse is stupid and inherently anti-social.
So sue me.

Whatever happened to Google's goggles?

Eldergays? Just the opposite - this is designed for incels and Gen Zs - and every gameboy who entered adulthood still single, sexless and still living in his parent's basement.

Yuck, I'm not lending my pair to OP.

It causes headaches before 30 min of usage. Pass.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | January 19, 2024 1:58 PM |
R5 so do your dad and poppers, but I can't quit either.
I'm not going to live with the thing on my face 24/7, like a Google Glasshole. My glasses will never leave my home. That's why I forwent the $500 Apple Care Insurance policy.

R6 quit drugs
by Anonymous | reply 7 | January 19, 2024 2:13 PM |
It's a forewent conclusion that the asshole at r6 will trip and break his neck on his way to the shitter while wearing these.

r8 as if I don't have an Meta catheter.

They seem like an expensive slice of dystopia. Pass.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | January 19, 2024 2:28 PM |
R10 Are you waiting for dystopia to be on sale for 10% off?
Apple financing terms = $300/mo for. a year at 0%; I'll survive.
I dare you to get four horsemen for less.

How does it work with people who are near sighted or far sighted? If you need bifocals to work close up?
by Anonymous | reply 12 | January 19, 2024 2:45 PM |
Since the glasses don't cover the ears, I wonder if people in proximity can hear the audio? Also I'd like to see if there's a virtual keyboard to this
by Anonymous | reply 13 | January 19, 2024 3:00 PM |
So this is for loners? You can’t have movie nights with friends u less you’re all wearing one and try to sync the movie to play at the same time. It’s just stupid.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | January 19, 2024 3:22 PM |
I think the only good aspect is the ability to view movies on the equivalent of a big TV while not using the space a big TV takes up. At the moment it's too expensive, though.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | January 19, 2024 3:48 PM |
R12 If you wear glasses, you have to submit your prescription when you buy the Apple Vision Pro and they provide you with optical inserts to use instead of glasses.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | January 19, 2024 3:55 PM |
R14 Don't you ever spend time alone? :cough: "Needy" :cough-cough:

The first batch of the misanthropy shades has already sold out and the slow pokes have to wait an extra month for deliverance(sp).
by Anonymous | reply 18 | January 19, 2024 4:11 PM |
FFS It’s a first generation product, calm down moaners. Future iterations will do more and come down in price. No one is forcing you to buy one.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | January 19, 2024 4:18 PM |
Eldergays are never going to touch this.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | January 19, 2024 4:20 PM |
I'm an Apple person (phone, watch, macbook, etc.) and I will be passing on this, and not because of the money.
I have a Quest 2, and the technology is very cool, but VR headsets are (for now) primarily for gaming, which Apple sucks at.
Without apps to go with the headset, it is going to be DOA.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | January 19, 2024 4:54 PM |
First world JUNK.

Exactly, I foresee parents however getting upset with their grown male kids blasting their jizz all over the walls and ceiling and furniture in the basement. Old dried up cum is a bitch to clean up. They need to learn to keep a cum rag handy at all times. That will go a long way to keep harmonious between the generations.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | January 19, 2024 5:42 PM |
Or you could just leave it to develop into a nacreous layer of permcum.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | January 19, 2024 6:30 PM |
I think it's going to be one of those products that continues to exist but no one buys because it's too expensive and doesn't solve any real problem. The early reviews say it's a great experience, but they question what its usage could be. There's also the issue of neck fatigue after a certain time period and, historically, VR glasses have caused vertigo and headaches with prolonged exposure.

Well, THIS eldergay is getting it as soon as he can. I wonder how the Helix films will look on it.

Prolonged use of this is going to make Reality REALLY Suck. Won't someone think of the children?!?
by Anonymous | reply 27 | January 19, 2024 7:41 PM |
I don't like anything on my face, so I'm out.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | January 19, 2024 7:56 PM |
I don't think Apple expects to sell many. They're fishing to find out the ways people might use the technology and whether it's viable. The device cost a lot to develop and manufacture, and there's no telling if the technology will catch on. The product allows Apple to get a foothold in the VR/AR business and puts their technology in the hands of developers who might come up with killer apps, while Apple can develop cheaper and more viable forms of the technology.

Did any other sexless eldergay get one?
It's a fun novelty, but too heavy and limited for regular use and obviously too costly.
There are rumors of a smaller, lighter, less expensive, "Apple Vision Air" coming down the pike with fewer features that I assume will be tethered to an iPhone. That iteration will be closer to a consumer device, this version is not consumer ready.
Although the eye tracking part of a UI needs to be implemented on other devices; e.g. laptops, phones, tablets, drive through ATMs. You adapt to it quickly and it feels odd to go back to a regular laptop and focus your eyes on a menu item or icon and NOT have it be selected. This is the paradigm shifting feature.
The most awkward part if the "clicking" motion you have to perform with your hands. It doesn't work reliably for me a physical device that I could click would be better, personally; The accessories market for this will be HUGE if it becomes successful.
Unfortunately, the tech isn't there yet to respond consistently and some features like personal avatars are hilariously bad. Most of the software and the operating system need to evolve or be adopted to this type of device.
Overall, I'm enjoying the heck out of it and need to figure out how to get the lenses from fogging up.

For some reason I can’t understand there is more straight vr porn than gay ones on the porn websites. I prefer vr than just a video on a screen for my porn.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | February 8, 2024 5:17 PM |
Do people not realize that we're going to point and laugh at anyone wearing one of these, the same way we point and laugh at anyone driving one of Elon's ridiculous trucks?
by Anonymous | reply 32 | February 8, 2024 5:18 PM |
Going to?
by Anonymous | reply 33 | February 8, 2024 5:30 PM |
I'm not wearing mine in public, that's silly, unless I'm at a ski resort.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | February 8, 2024 5:33 PM |
I don't see why anyone would wear them in public at this point. Why would you want to promote "I have money AND I'm distracted?"
by Anonymous | reply 35 | February 9, 2024 2:40 PM |
Yeah I'd only ever use one at home if I had one, a bit like I never take my iPad anywhere outside the house.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | February 10, 2024 11:41 AM |
I have one of those Oculus headsets...I can't imagine ever wearing it out of the house, it's heavy, and you can't see where you're going.
Anyone know if this headset improves the on the "tunnel vision" part of the Oculus?
by Anonymous | reply 37 | February 10, 2024 1:22 PM |
R37 The "pass-thru" effect of the Apple Vision Pro is in color and the 8K (IIRC) and there is no screen door effect..
The screen resolution is to the Oculus Quest 2 as HDTV 720P was to SD 480i, a BIG improvement but still with room for improvement
