WHET to DC gay throuple who were there in their house the night Robert Wone was murdered in the next room. In their house.
This is the latest I see about Joseph Anderson (formerly Joseph Price), Victor Zaborsky, and Dylan Thomas (formerly Dylan Ward).
"According to reports, Joseph Price and Victor Zaborsky own a home in the Miami enclave of Miami Shores. The Miami Shores residence is also where the three men are said to have stayed or frequented on several occasions since 2008.
Price and Ward both changed their names to Joseph Anderson and Dylan Thomas, respectively.
The Miami-based immigrant rights organization, Americans for Immigrant Justice, declared in a website post from winter 2013 that it had just recruited Joseph Anderson as its new Director of Litigation.
However, according to a 2016 report, Miami-based consulting and communications company Gapingvoid confirmed that Joseph Anderson was working as an attorney for the firm.
Dylan Thomas, formerly known as Dylan Ward, reportedly had his name and picture listed as a "massage practitioner" and "Pilates instructor" on the website of the Seattle Athletic Club in Seattle, Washington. Eventually, Thomas's picture and a brief biography appeared on the website of the Pilates Miami Health Club in Miami.
No name change has been made to Zaborsky's profile on the website of the Milk Processor Education Program, or MilkPEP, a trade association for the dairy and milk industries located in Washington, D.C."

Per another Robert Wone thread Dylan is married to someone else and Joe and Victor moved back to DMV and are living in Silver Spring, MD, a DC suburb. I think that is where their kids had lived.

The story would make for a good Netflix miniseries, except that the three main characters, the residents of the Swann Street house are so fucking unlikeable, that there seems to be so thin a connection to Robert Wine, and that there are no investigators or lawyers who pursued the case to the point that critical details were known.

They’re still together. Well, not all, Dylan, who was the obvious killer isn’t in the throuple. He actually is still running a massage service in Florida. Can you imagine being his client. One of his best friends from childhood who lost contact with him before all this happened looked him up and was freaking out in the Who Killed Robert Wone page in the comments section. He just couldn’t believe it. It’s amazing that they’ve kept their mouths shut.

It's definitely Dylan Ward. A massage therapist who just happened to live with the couple?
Sounds like a prostie who was on the outs and needed a place to stay and had a drug habit. I feel bad for the couple - but then again, I would have given up Dylan in a heartbeat.
Nobody stabs a friend of mine and gets blood EVERYWHERE that I have to clean up and still gets a Christmas card from me. Dylan probably had a lot of blackmail info on the other two.

Annoying when people seemingly get away with murder because of a botched investigation, because no one can technically find them guilty beyond reasonable doubt.
Their story is so preposterous. A guy stays with them, an intruder enters the house, murders a guy and then leaves? It's like the JonBenet case where it was almost certainly someone inside the house, but they obviously can't admit that, so they concoct an intruder theory and then get away with it, because there's no firm evidence to prove the lie.

This site has some background on Dylan Ward. It looks like he had a promising life and then was floundering - pursuing degree after degree. BS from Georgetown, then a degree from CIA (Culinary Institute of America), then a Masters in Children's Literature to....Thai massage therapist????
It says Ward and Price were in a dom/sub relationship even though Price and Zaborsky were the committed couple.
Price even got Ward a job at his work. I think Ward got into drugs and did it and Price, being the sub, is protecting him at all costs. Zaborsky seems older and wants to keep his man.

Message therapist my ass. I mean he is one but it’s just a front for prostitution. You don’t graduate from Georgetown and become a message therapist unless that was already your interest in life.

R25 - I'd say you don't get THREE degrees, all good ones, and use none of them.
I also think that Ward provided Price with meth which helped him at work. In terms of there being a 'throuple' - that's just them being horny from the meth binges.
And if Ward was in a Dom/Sub relationship with Price, then maybe he got off on inflicting pain or heavy BDSM and it just went wrong with Wone.
We don't know if Wone wasn't on the DL. There have been several cases of supposed straight guys getting into trouble who had wives - that Philly lawyer and the butch sous-chef?

R28 - so he had a degree as a doctor for 25+ years and a career.
This guy had no career - bouncing from degree to degree - then to massage at 36. He had the smarts and degrees to do a lot of things - but didn't.
Very different life trajectory. It's not like he had set the world on fire and just wanted a less stressful massage career like your friend.

Wone told Price and Ward that he wanted to shower and go to bed. Me thinks Ward tried to get into the shower with Wone and it all went bad. His meth'd out ass tried to "turn out a straight guy" and it ended in a brutal murder. I can't believe these assholes are still walking around free.

Dylan was the big S&M nut. The three had a master contract. They were all in on it. A bunch of degenerates. Why they stabbed him is anyone’s guess. The other two are almost 60 years old. Dylan is in his 50s. Dylan was the one who had a million pieces of bondage and torture gear in his room. They were all into S&M.

I think what is notable is that someone heard Zaborsky scream around 11-11:30pm. Dylan and Price did not.
Remember Dylan and Price had a dom/Sub relationship and Price got Dylan a job at his work.
I feel bad for Zaborsky - by the way, he's the only one who hasn't attempted to change his name. He's innocent. The other two are guilty - one a murderer and the other an accomplice and trying to obstruct evidence.

I think it was a planned thrill kill. Where did so much blood go, so quickly? 3 stab wounds was to keep all of them silent.
Joe is a nasty piece of work who had an abusive childhood and who made the most $$$ by far. Dylan did not have the power, he had to read books on domming, Joe topped from the bottom.
Price was so depraved and driven to take risks that he had extreme bdsm on his law firm work computer. This was at a time when it was unusual for an out gay man to make partner at a DC Biglaw firm.
Dylan was kept, he did not snap and kill Price’s longtime friend suddenly on a weeknight.

If anyone is interested check at the AA Legal Focus/Judy The YouTube Lawyer's videos on Robert Wone. Judy knew Robert during her law school days. They didn't attend the same law school, but she knew him through an internship program. This video is from last year around the time when Peacock series was released. She talks to the guys who run the Who Killed Robert Wone? blog.
Judy has done other videos on the case and she did a video where she visited Robert's grave.

I watched the documentary and agree it was a meth induced situation, maybe the killer had hallucinations, and the other two helped cover it up. I also think the guy was genuinely straight, and too much of a temptation for one of them to conquer. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I lived with two meth dealers and one of the LAST things you want to do is to be hanging out in the middle of the night with them!
Meth makes you do CRAZY things. I believe the drug use tapered right off after or the guys got sober and this is why they got away with it. That and having access to the very best legal counsel. If the murder had happened only a few years later they would’ve been able to trace cellphone and doorbell cameras to prove or dispel details and statements.

I've watched most of the Peacock documentary.
I know they had to present both sides of the argument, but the men's weaselly defence lawyer was so annoying. He was almost like an internet troll - pushing wild theories and getting a thrill out of the annoyance his comments would cause. He seemed like a gaslighter as well, because he was essentially implying the prosecuter was crazy.
It definitely helped that Price was a lawyer and I believe that probably meant he was able to come up with a cover story more quickly than the average person that, while he knew wasn't entirely watertight, had enough doubt in it that would see them found not guilty at a murder trial.
They were also helped by things that were likely outside their control - eg the drug that was likely used to incapacitate Wone was undetectable by the time they did the toxicology results (and I'm assuming some sort of drug was used given there appeared to be no effort by Wone to defend himself from three clean stab wounds).
The knife was obviously tampered with and Price fucked up when he admitted to handling the knife (first he said it was on Wone chest, then he said he pulled it out of him) but then his fingerprints weren't on it. Fibres from the towel were on the blade which showed the blood had been added afterwards and then the handle wiped clean. He didn't need to wipe the handle anyway, considering it came from the knife block in his own kitchen and hence surely it would be LESS suspicious if his fingerprints were on it, because he could just say he'd used it for cooking the day before and then put it back in the block with his hand...
I think the key is that someone somehow got rid of the real murder weapon and drugs. They couldn't have gone that far to dispose of them, given the fairly small time window and yet they must have done because of the knife missing from the bedroom that almost certainly was the real murder weapon and the fact Wone was almost certainly drugged and yet - other than ecstacy - no other drugs were found at the scene. I assume they went out the back gate as it'd be less noticeable than going out the front, plus they seemed to have spent some of the time in the back yard hosing down evidence. Maybe they hosed down the knife so that if someone did come across it (eg if they put it in a neighbour's trash) it wouldn't appear instantly suspicious.
So yeah, they seem to have got away with it due to some quick thinking, some luck and some fuck ups by the police - especially with the solution used to detect blood afterwards.

I remember 2006-2007 when we all tried to Nancy Drew the fuck out of this case. It was 100% clear that one or a combo of the 3 men killed Robert Wone. Ward and Price seemed the likely ones based on what they were into.
Good summary of the case here:

R47 - I agree with you that Meth makes people do absolutely crazy things. Unfortunately, one of my best friends became a meth addict and I decided to share my apt with him when he moved out to my city. I honestly had no clue that he had gotten into meth, but looking back all the signs were there - the extreme weight loss, the scattered thinking, staying up all night.
Anyway - he became paranoid living with me and accused me of all sorts of shit - that I was betraying him and how friends would never do that to each other. Ok, yes, I was working with his other friends to get him into rehab - and I did, which he left after 9 days - but the accusations were WILD.
So he could have been paranoid and stabbed the guy because he didn't know who this guy was coming into the house to spend the night. It's REALLY scary to come across some zoomed-up meth head who doesn't know you late at night.
Did they ever conclusively say Lone was sexually assaulted? It still boggles my mind that Price, a partner in a law firm at a time when gays weren't often promoted to that level, would turn his life and relationship upside down for years to defend this guy.
And the fact that all 3 stuck together for this long on the story - truly amazing. If I was the 3rd guy - I'd be pointing my fingers and ratting the other 2 out in a heartbeat.
I could not live with murder on my mind - and the impact on his wife and family. I would never get a night of good sleep again.
