They staged her appearance so that she would not have to walk onstage and after her speech she nearly fell over as she left the podium.

by Anonymousreply 115January 3, 2024 3:46 AM

Charlie Sheen. He looks terrible. He abused drugs and alcohol and he's positive. How much more can his body take?

Alec Baldwin. He'll probably have a heart attack from his weight, age, lawsuits, his insufferable wife, and the crotch fruit she popped out. Can't imagine having to deal with screaming kids at his age.

Julie Walters - One of my favourites actresses. She left a job back in March with severe back pain after battling bowel cancer in ‘18. She hasn’t been seen on camera since so I expect we’ll lose her this year.

Wendy Williams - She’s currently in the same Swiss rehab where her son was treated in his teens. This is her last chance. If she comes home and falls off the wagon she’s done.

There's a real possibility we could lose six Hitchcock blondes this year:

Eva Marie Saint

Kim Novak

Tippi Hedren

Julie Andrews

Vera Miles

Barbara Leigh-Hunt

by Anonymousreply 215January 25, 2024 7:49 AM

R215, perhaps, although mathematically the odds are against all of them going in the same year.

by Anonymousreply 216January 25, 2024 7:57 AM

R215, and a Hitchcock redhead (Shirley Maclaine) and mousy brown (Brigitte Auber).

Eva Marie, Shirley Maclaine, and Kim Novak are good possibilities. But not the rest of them. Tippi is in her early 90's and she looks pretty healthy to me.

by Anonymousreply 219January 25, 2024 6:48 PM

Vera Miles is 94, and has been rumored to be suffering from Alzheimer's for several years. It's a miracle that she's still holding on.

Those Hitchcock girls are a strong bunch. Vera, Tippi, Kim and Eva are still alive and kicking, which is mind-boggling. Hitch must have put them through rigorous physical tests before casting.

When I think of so many people I admire who are in their 80's and 90's now it is upsetting.

You know, Babs is gonna go one day. She's 82? And Jane Fonda. And Gloria Steinem, and Joan Baez. ...and OMG, William Shatner. Can we imagine a world without these cultural icons??? And after rediscovering Rita Moreno how can I say good bye to her? Or Harrison Ford? From the moment I was born there has never been a time when these people weren't part of the cultural landscape of our lives.
