You have no idea whether he cheated, whether he insisted she be a SAHM, or anything else about their marriage. You also have no idea whether the debt is actually a result of his irresponsible spending (the $970 monthly truck payment is a HUGE indicator of which one of them is driving the debt). For all you know, she's divorcing him because she's sick and tired of living with a spendthrift who has caused them financial turmoil because he cannot stick to a budget or save money.

If you listen closely, he sounds like the problem - he notes he gave her a Lexus that she had given back to him (1:20) and "stuck" him with the payment. He also notes he had a motorcycle and had traded in 2 cars for the truck with the $970 payment.

It's a shame Wilford Brimley died before he could play Dave in a emotional Lifetime movie.

I stopped hate-listening to Dave during the earliest months of the pandemic, when he became even more politically batshit than usual, but it was always fun when gay and lesbian listeners would spring their sexuality on him at the end of a call.

He'd engage with them, be relatively pleasant, and the second a man mentioned his boyfriend, or a woman her girlfriend, his eyes narrowed and you had a feeling the call screener was about to get screamed at during the next commercial break.
