David Lynch’s wife files for divorce

I love his films but I imagine he’s probably not the best at intimate relationships

He’s very creepy but that probably explains his talent as well.

He does not have the face of a man easy to live with.

I watched a documentary about him and he seems truly eccentric in the way he lives his day to day life. He barely leaves his house according to him

He was married to one woman he worked with for a month before they filed for divorce back in the 2000s. He says that he prioritizes work and is basically never there.

He strikes me as someone who women think they can change but when they realize they can't they leave.

Directors are control freaks by nature. Add into that how brilliant the man is, I can see him coming off weird. The more creative the person, the weirder they can be.

I am always intrigued by people who claim the challenges of being "a workaholic" and don't "produce" much... Lynch hasn't made a movie in 17 years. What is he doing every day for so many hours that make him a workaholic.

I was a workaholic and it meant is was in the office doing real stuff 60-70 hours a week.

Lynch makes art, music and roasts coffee beans. I think a lot of what he produces is for his own pleasure

R10 - it takes a long time to get scripts and movies made. You think you just write something and people say - FABULOUS! Here's $20 million - go make it a film!

You don't know what else he's possibly producing for other film makers.

He spends a lot of time meditating and promoting Transcendental Meditation. He's also extremely routine-oriented. This was one of his more famous routines:

He moved into other media. He writes, he produces and he hosts his own little things, as R11 said he does things for his own pleasure.

However, he's allegedly been spending the past few years working on a film and tv series. The film was supposed to be done last year. (Laura Dern mentioned it.) The TV series is either shooting or scrapped by Netflix depending on who you ask.

As for Isabella, she once said, "David was the big love of my life. And I believed that he loved me the same way, but obviously I was mistaken. All my instincts told me we were a happy couple, but we weren’t.” Their breakup also sent her into therapy. I guess today's terms, it seems like he "love bombed" her and it took her years to get over it.

He made an 18-episode TV series—one of the most acclaimed projects of his entire career—in 2017. He wrote and directed all 18 episodes.

painting and photography are his biggest passions as far as i know, he probably spends a lot of time doing that for not much attention

I'm glad Isabella sought out therapy after Lynch, he was at least the second director she was in a LTR with...Daddy Issues, AHOY!!!
