Tasteful friends: Barcelona Gothic apartment, €2.15M

In the Dereta de l'Eixample an apartment occupying the principal floor of a palacete, with 230m² (2500 square feet) with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths for €2.15M ($2.34M).

It's a remarkably intact space, with an abundance of living area and bedroom options mostly among the smaller rooms. Four mostly interior rooms have windows to a spectacular gothic patio at the core of the house. No terrace, but some balconies. The price would be higher if it met the modern taste for huge bedrooms and double the number and size of the bathrooms. The existing bathrooms are elegant; the easy thing would be to steal space from the adjacent rooms if you wanted to add additional. The kitchen is adequately basic, but easily improved. The rest is the whole point of the place.

The red walls remind me of an Almodovar film.

¡Qué linda! I'd love that, with a more modern design for the furniture. Funny they rate it least energy efficient. Those old redone palacios are muy drafty but so what? ¡Elegancia!

What a dump-o.

Many great aspects. I don't quite understand the floor plan which shows no corridors but there are some in the photos.

Still intact…I see what you did there!

Interesting layout with the courtyard. Every room seems open to other rooms though, not sure how that works with bedrooms. At any rate, I find the elaborate ceilings oppressive.
