All of his dirty laundry is being aired live.

On MSNBC right now!

by Anonymousreply 1November 30, 2023 7:09 PM

Hardly anyone is in attendance at the hearing.

I guess no one in Congress cares

by Anonymousreply 2November 30, 2023 7:11 PM

Kitara is addressing the Speaker right now!

by Anonymousreply 3November 30, 2023 7:17 PM

Skidmark Santos, everyone’s favorite Brazilian.

by Anonymousreply 4November 30, 2023 7:17 PM

Who is this lunatic speaking right now?

Rep. Troy Hehls (R) Texas.

by Anonymousreply 5November 30, 2023 7:19 PM

House Resolution 878 to expel George Santos from Congress.

All in favor? AYE!!!

by Anonymousreply 6November 30, 2023 7:20 PM

I’m just a cheap transvestite

by Anonymousreply 7November 30, 2023 7:22 PM

Rep. Clay Higgins (R - Louisiana) is funny.

He sounds like Colonel Sanders.

He's a former Military Police officer and civilian police officer supporting George Santos?

I'm not surprised.

by Anonymousreply 8November 30, 2023 7:25 PM

Now Matt Gaetz is defending him.

"I rise, not to defend George Santos, WHOEVER HE IS!"

by Anonymousreply 9November 30, 2023 7:35 PM

Matt Gaetz has a huge head!

He looks like he lost a lot of weight.

Is he on Ozempic?

by Anonymousreply 10November 30, 2023 7:38 PM

How much time do you think he spends on his hair, r10?

by Anonymousreply 11November 30, 2023 7:41 PM

So Kitara's defense is, "What about those other guys?????"

by Anonymousreply 12November 30, 2023 7:42 PM

[quote] How much time do you think he spends on his hair, R10?

Nestor probably helps him get ready in the morning...

The New Yorkers in Congress are fucking ROASTING Santos!!!

It's an entire contingent of Congressional New Yorkers in attendance, speaking out against Kitara.

Wow.

by Anonymousreply 16November 30, 2023 7:48 PM

Dayum! This is Emmy-worthy daytime drama!

by Anonymousreply 17November 30, 2023 7:48 PM

The cute guy from Ohio just called Kitara a crook, and Kitara moved to have his comments stricken from the record.

Now Kitara called him a "woman beater!"

by Anonymousreply 18November 30, 2023 7:50 PM

Jesus, convict the guy already.

by Anonymousreply 19November 30, 2023 7:52 PM

Kitara just flounced out of the chamber in a huff!

She needs to pull a Joan Crawford--"WHY CAN'T YOU GIVE ME THE RESPECT I'M ENTITLED TO????"

by Anonymousreply 20November 30, 2023 7:57 PM

Surprisingly, Santos has a few defenders, although most of those speaking on the floor of the House want him gone.

by Anonymousreply 21November 30, 2023 7:59 PM

[quote] The cute guy from Ohio just called Kitara a crook, and Kitara moved to have his comments stricken from the record.

That was Max Miller.

Apparently, he was "physically abusive" to Stephanie Grisham.

Mike Lawlor, while I'm glad he's an outspoken anti-Kitara, always comes off as an angry asshole.

by Anonymousreply 23November 30, 2023 8:04 PM

R22, Max Miller does look a little creepy.

by Anonymousreply 24December 1, 2023 7:34 AM

[quote]All of his dirty laundry is being aired live.

I think I spotted a stained pair of Kitara's crotchless panties.

by Anonymousreply 25December 1, 2023 12:48 PM

When is the vote to flush this turd?

by Anonymousreply 26December 1, 2023 12:53 PM

It's today, R26!

Fasten your seatbelts.

It's gonna be a bumpy night.

by Anonymousreply 27December 1, 2023 2:18 PM

Maybe he'll survive . . .

If they don't vote to expel him, there really is no hope left for American government.

If this happened in the corporate world, not only would he be fired, the fat fuck would be in jail for embezzlement.

by Anonymousreply 29December 1, 2023 2:22 PM

Kitara's defense for not being ousted from Congress, is that she hasn't been convicted of anything yet.

And also, why is Bob Menendez still in the Senate, when he has likewise been accused of committing crimes?

I think the gist of the Santos defense is that the legal process should be allowed to play out, and if he is found guilty, THEN he should be removed from Congress.

But until then, he is just accused and not convicted.

As much as I hate George Santos, I tend to agree with the idea that anyone who has not completed the legal process when indicted, should be considered innocent until proven guilty.

The receipts are all there, and he will be found guilty. But until then, just let the process play out.

He's also right in that it sets a bad precedent when you oust someone from Congress when they are still only accused, and not convicted.

Our society has become like a lynch mob. We need to get back to the rule of law.

by Anonymousreply 30December 1, 2023 2:30 PM

Some people are acting like he’s a teenager who got shoplifting from a store at the mall.

by Anonymousreply 31December 1, 2023 2:41 PM

R30 the issue is "the process" never seems to play out.

by Anonymousreply 32December 1, 2023 2:42 PM

^You're ridiculous. It's a fucking job. He lied about his background, education, work experience and he submitted false financials and you think he should be convicted by a court of law before he is fired? Think about it. If he lied his way into a hospital as a Dr. or a janitor, would the hospital have to wait until he was convicted to fire him? Of course, not.

by Anonymousreply 33December 1, 2023 2:42 PM

False equivalency.

Elected officials are elected by the people.

His district "hired" him. If they want to fire him, then they should recall his ass.

Why haven't they done that?

Don't blame Kitara for taking advantage of the system.

The system is the system.

If his constituents want to fire him, then RECALL him.

by Anonymousreply 34December 1, 2023 2:45 PM

You’re basically talking about grand larceny/embezzlement. From the American voters. And as you state, the recipients are all there. Lots of them.

by Anonymousreply 35December 1, 2023 2:46 PM

If he does skate (and there’s a good chance he will), it will have nothing at all to do with due process or “doing the right thing.” It will solely be for greed and GOP tribalism. Period.

by Anonymousreply 36December 1, 2023 2:48 PM

R30 I agree with you only because while he’s still a member of Congress, he’s an anchor around the Republican party’s neck. If he’s thrown out, he’s just one more indicted grifting Republican even as he’s still the messiest queen in town.

Unexpelled, he’s still the messiest queen in town AND still a Republican member of Congress. He’s a big target either way (just look at him) but both a continuing embarrassment to the R’s while he stays and more evidence of just how craven they are by not voting to expel him.

by Anonymousreply 37December 1, 2023 2:50 PM

[quote] You’re basically talking about grand larceny/embezzlement. From the American voters. And as you state, the recipients are all there. Lots of them.

Absolutely.

That's what the indictment says.

But for now, it's only an indictment, and not a conviction.

Right now, he hasn't been convicted of anything.

I don't know what part of that people aren't understanding.

That said, the House of Representatives can do whatever they want to do.

If they want him out, they can vote him out. It's really all going to come down to today's vote.

All I'm laying out is Kitara's defense, which to me makes legal sense.

But apparently, the ethics committee feels that their findings are good enough.

So we'll see how much weight that holds with the members of the HOR.

by Anonymousreply 38December 1, 2023 2:52 PM

He was elected by voters and doners who were lied to. Then stolen from. In very big ways.

by Anonymousreply 39December 1, 2023 2:55 PM

He's out.

by Anonymousreply 40December 1, 2023 3:03 PM

George slithered away avoiding reporters, cameras and, most dramatically, the Sergeant At Arms' escort.

by Anonymousreply 41December 1, 2023 3:05 PM

Time for the inevitable reality show.

by Anonymousreply 42December 1, 2023 3:08 PM

He'll be behind bars, r42.

by Anonymousreply 43December 1, 2023 3:11 PM

But what about his First Amendment rights?

by Anonymousreply 44December 1, 2023 3:12 PM

r30 congress did their own investigation too though, I think it's appropriate for congress to take action based on a preponderance of the evidence in their own internal ethics investigation.

by Anonymousreply 45December 1, 2023 3:14 PM

Kitara must be forced to do the walk of shame.

by Anonymousreply 48December 1, 2023 3:25 PM

R34 - I do not believe there is any provision/process for members of Congress to be “recalled” by their constituents.

Also, Congress is a Legal Body unto itself and has the power to impeach the President. Why shouldn’t they be able to clean house when warranted?

by Anonymousreply 49December 1, 2023 3:49 PM

r34, The voters elected/hired him to the JOB based on his qualifications which were fabricated from whole cloth. Just like the janitor who would be fired if he lied about his past employer. His co-workers would demand it. "Hey, this guy doesn't even know how to use a mop, plus he lies on his time card, steals toilet paper from the supply closet and took 3 days off because he grandmother died, 3 years earlier.. You have to get rid of him."

Just because his GOPig co-workers decided to use him as a pawn for awhile doesn't mean he shouldn't have been fired immediately for lying AND KILLING THE DOG.

by Anonymousreply 50December 1, 2023 4:31 PM

He is a hideous human. Drama queen to the highest degree.

He will not do well. This is well deserved but you will see a human at his absolute lowest when he recognizes what he has become.

by Anonymousreply 51December 1, 2023 4:36 PM

[quote] The system is the system.

And expulsion is part of the system.

Let the system do its job.

by Anonymousreply 52December 1, 2023 4:39 PM

It's not like this was done on a whim because they didn't like him. There were giant piles of receipts about all of his lying, stealing, and grifting. And I really doubt there'll be any Long Island constituents that would be upset over this.

by Anonymousreply 53December 1, 2023 4:42 PM

The DOJ told the ethics committee to back off certain worse crimes because they were under investigation. The committee's report isn't even the worst of his felonious behavior.

by Anonymousreply 54December 1, 2023 5:53 PM

While in Congress he stold thousands from a fellow Republcan member of Congress and the guy's mother. Santos is a total sociopath.

by Anonymousreply 55December 1, 2023 6:05 PM

The ONLY reason the republicans did this is because we are going into an election year. How long did they allow him to stay when they knew about all the stuff he had done. Watch the Republicans spend the next year doing the Right things so they look good to the voters.

I'll bet anything that Santos is somehow going to spill the beans on everyone he knows in Congress.

by Anonymousreply 56December 1, 2023 6:06 PM

GOPigs gave up a pawn so they can go full force to take out a rook, Menendez. The stopped clock theory applies and they are correct this time.

by Anonymousreply 57December 1, 2023 6:10 PM

[quote]'ll bet anything that Santos is somehow going to spill the beans on everyone he knows in Congress.

Remember to always take the elevator and avoid the stairs, George.

by Anonymousreply 58December 1, 2023 6:10 PM

R54 does that mean we can expect additional future indictments? it's like this guy commits a crime every day. very trumpian. only works when you're popular though.

by Anonymousreply 59December 1, 2023 6:11 PM

Kitara won’t go quietly.

by Anonymousreply 60December 1, 2023 6:11 PM

Beware of balconies

by Anonymousreply 61December 1, 2023 6:13 PM

Unlike the repugnacants, we strive do the right thing, R57. Menendez knows we won't be defending him.

by Anonymousreply 62December 1, 2023 6:18 PM

The locks on his office door have already been changed.

by Anonymousreply 65December 1, 2023 6:26 PM

Kitara stole $3,000 from the GoFundMe to get surgery for a vet's dog, then the dog died. Disgusting, vile, sociopath. Lower than the spit on a snake's belly.

by Anonymousreply 66December 1, 2023 6:58 PM

She’s going to be found at the bottom of the Potomac in a few weeks.

by Anonymousreply 67December 1, 2023 7:33 PM

The bellyaching from MAGA is in full swing...and quite delicious! 😋

[quote]Another example of the 2 tier rules one for Republicans and another for democrats. Soros is gone and probably should be while Menendez is still a senator who took money no doubt to benefit his rich friends via legislation and even when other democratic senators have called for his resignation nothing happens and no one has called for his removal from the senate. I'm tired of the 2 tier system in this country.

[quote]If he were a Democrat, he would be chairman of a committee assigned to get Trump.

[quote]Now a person is guilty and must prove their innocence .

[quote]The charges against Santos are a joke! It's what 90 percent of these pols do every day and much worse. On top of that wevised to have a justice system based on innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. This is communists eliminating the opposition one at a time. We are a One Party system now. Not one of these cowards woll stand up for we the people. The ones that do like Trump are fighting practically alone.

by Anonymousreply 68December 1, 2023 8:26 PM

[quote]Remember to always take the elevator and avoid the stairs, George.

by Anonymousreply 70December 1, 2023 9:42 PM

R63 I really enjoyed that clip! Satisfying how quickly that was done.

by Anonymousreply 71December 1, 2023 10:15 PM

Oh, dear.

Okay now that that's out of the way...

Was it Max Miller?

I was wondering why Max was at the hearing on Thursday.

He sat there for the longest time, and when it was his turn to speak, all he said was that Kitara "is a crook" and should be ousted.

Then he left.

Max was pissed! Rofl. I love when Republicans fuck each other over!

by Anonymousreply 73December 2, 2023 12:47 AM

Amazing. Now do Boobert and Marjorie Taylor Caveladyface.
