Looks like Carly Simon in 15 years.

My second favourite Bunny after Bunny Corcoran.

Bye bye Bunny!

by Anonymousreply 4November 29, 2023 7:10 PM

That's a man, right?

by Anonymousreply 5November 29, 2023 7:11 PM

I'm heartbroken. Seriously.

by Anonymousreply 6November 29, 2023 7:13 PM

Wow, so she was in her 50's when she was on Cheers. Unbelievable.

RIP Frances. One of the better actresses on the non woke and broke version of SATC.

by Anonymousreply 8November 29, 2023 7:16 PM

It feels like I’ve been watching her in movies and TV shows my entire life.

RIP.

by Anonymousreply 9November 29, 2023 7:17 PM

She's been great in most everything she's been in. I loved her most in "The Mist" and "Raising Cain."

by Anonymousreply 10November 29, 2023 7:22 PM

She was just such a wonderful character actress.

She had two Tonys. Will Broadway dim tonight?

by Anonymousreply 11November 29, 2023 7:24 PM

I cleaned her dentures.

For a brief second I cared…then I realized OP wasn’t referring to Mary Steenburgen.

by Anonymousreply 13November 29, 2023 7:34 PM

She had a hilarious scene-stealing cameo in Julie & Julia. Think she'd been suffering with Alzheimer's for a number of years now. Glad the suffering is over. She was great.

[quote]She had two Tonys. Will Broadway dim tonight?

She certainly deserves it.

by Anonymousreply 15November 29, 2023 7:40 PM

It's up to Charlotte St. Cuntbag as to whether anyone gets lights dimmed.

by Anonymousreply 19November 29, 2023 7:50 PM

The Mist finally got her!

My god - she had 6 kids. Are any of them well known?

by Anonymousreply 21November 29, 2023 8:05 PM

Her daughter is a nice girl - actress Amanda Carlin. She told me the thing that surprised her about her mother’s career is that the Sean Connery “Outland” (1981) didn’t bring Sternhagen more movie roles at the time.

She also stole some scenes in Misery as the sheriff's wife. A very small part but she made it memorable

by Anonymousreply 25November 29, 2023 8:52 PM

That's sad. I waited on her when I was a server at Applebee's in Times Square 20 years ago. Very nice and polite. She was there with, I guess, her grandkids.

by Anonymousreply 26November 29, 2023 9:10 PM

Loved her as Kyra Sedgwick's mother in The Closer.

by Anonymousreply 27November 29, 2023 9:14 PM

Loved her on Cheers, and as Carters nana on ER and as Willie Ray on the Closer.

by Anonymousreply 28November 29, 2023 9:18 PM

She was Mrs. Marsh in a series of commercials for Colgate toothpaste in the ‘70’s! With those choppers!

by Anonymousreply 29November 29, 2023 9:33 PM

That's Larry David in a wig.

by Anonymousreply 30November 29, 2023 9:50 PM

Great actress. RIP.

by Anonymousreply 31November 29, 2023 10:18 PM

May her memory be a blessing.

Awww. I always really liked her. RIP.

I saw her in the original production of "On Golden Pond." Katharine Hepburn stole her role for the movie version.

by Anonymousreply 35November 30, 2023 8:02 AM

r7 that's how people in their 50s used to look.

by Anonymousreply 36December 2, 2023 12:01 AM

She was a hoot as Trey's mother Bunny MacDougal on SATC.

[quote] That's Larry David in a wig.

Her character in "Raising Cain" wore a dark wig and she made a joke about herself looking like a transvestite.

by Anonymousreply 38December 2, 2023 1:38 PM

Loved her when she threw that can of peas at Marcia Gay Harden in The Mist.

by Anonymousreply 39December 2, 2023 1:56 PM
