Despite allegedly lacking thirst, an extremely dry mouth seems uncomfortable. I made sure to go in there a few times every hour and wet her mouth with the toothettes. I learned that when I worked in a nursing home as a kid. If you find yourself in a similar situation with a loved one, don’t forget that— and ask for a bunch!
