Yes - housing is a big part of it. Dublin is a very expensive city to live in and there hasn't been an increase in affordable housing to match the rise in population, which is largely from immigration.

In Ireland there has been a catastrophic abdication of responsibility by the government over the housing crisis. Dublin has gone from one of the more affordable European capitals to more expensive than London or Paris. This is due, not to levels of immigration, but to the government's failure to actually build affordable social housing for people to live in, preferring instead to subsidise housing developers who take the subsidies and don't build the homes. Relatively underdeveloped public transport links, hindering the development of satellite towns, are another part of the problem.

Ireland's population has only recently recovered to the levels seen before the Great Famine of the 1840s. In no respect can it be called 'full'.

I’m guessing you’re not Irish, or have never lived in Ireland (correct me if I’m wrong), a lot of the discussion in that collection of clips seems to be in relation to travelers, an ethnic (or racial depending on who you’re asking) group within ireland, it’s an important discussion.

Also Irelands political voting system is geared heavily towards achieving proportional representation in how the voting is organized, it’s by order of preference, which results in a much more diverse political representative group than let’s say, the UK. This is one of the primary aims of Irish voting, so of course ways to enforce this are discussed.

Also, for instance, calling out the maleness (or other ‘privileged’ attributed of the Irish elected representative body), is not a bad thing. A huge amount of Irish TDs for instance, are landlords, or publicans. This should be discussed or challenged as there may be legislation being undertaken with those business interests in mind, is this also too ‘woke’ for you? Identity politics is not just for minorities you know, majority identity politics has always been with us.
