Apple orchards. For example in Hudson Valley. Also I seem to remember Prospect Park has many huge magnolias. Any wealthy leafy suburb will be a riot of flowering trees and bushes in the spring. See also: Holland and Marrakech.

Almost every temperate city in the world has some sort of spring display of blooming trees. Even places with rather harsh winters have some blooming trees. Flowering cherry trees have been selected and bred for blooms and in any case are not from the same prunus group as fruiting cherries. Some places in the US use Bradford pears for a similar display. Others use dogwoods, or as mentioned, saucer magnolias. Redbuds are another spring-blooming trees, and crabapples are almost always grown for flowers, not for fruit. Some of these bloom far longer than cherries, which sometimes only bloom for a week or two before dropping all their petals, which leave a huge mess. A boulevard of the same sort of trees is impressive in bloom, but I really like a more natural setting where different trees of different species bloom in sequence, so that there is something flowering from early April through the middle of June.
