The thread on A Very Brady Christmas got me to thinking about big event, full cast (or full characters, in AVBC's case), on the original network TV reunions don't exist anymore. Even comparative modern sucesses have a caveat or two (or I'm picky): Fuller House (wasn't an ABC series, was primarily about the girls and their kids), Roseanne (changed to "The Conners" once she shit the bed big time), Friends (wasn't an actual reunion episode, and now Matthew Perry's dead). Is Seinfeld the last major property that could have a scripted full cast reunion and it it would still be a big deal?
Is there any reunion that could still generate excitement?

A reunion with all the Facts of Life ladies (Jo, Blair, Natalie, and Tootie) would be a big deal to me.

R1 Oh I would love a Party of 5 reunion, used to love that show. Saw Scott Wolf in person one time in Westwood. Thought he would be the breakout star but not so much.

A Melrose Place Thanksgiving, in which Kimberly slaughters everyone who used to live in the apartment complex, starting with those later residents who ruined the show and climaxing with Amanda, would be a holiday delight.

No, because television is so fragmented now. If there were still only 3 channels in existence, it would be a big event.

Absolutely not. I hate nostalgia. And reunions.

PARTY DOWN came back for season 3, thirteen years after season 2. It's one of the only reboots to match the humor of the original without it being sad or forced.
