Eldergay here, and I have a question

Do young folks these days still dance the night away?

As a college kid in the 80s, even under-aged, I’d go to clubs and dance with friends, sometimes five nights a week! In the 90s I was a full-blown raver, had outfits for every club and had friends I would meet only to dance with late at night. I got older and noticed that the younger millennials preferred staying at home with their friends to play board or video games together. As far as I can see with GenZ, they love to dance, but mainly on TikTok, from my limited observations. Do places like Limelight, Danceteria or such still exist for young folks wanting to get their dance on?

Danceteria doesn't exist now OP so I'm going to guess that nobody is going there.

Did you go to Danceteria in the eighties? I'd rather hear your experiences about that. It was a very influential gay club.

I did, yes, many times. The question was, do places LIKE danceteria or limelight still exist - maybe in berlin? But in NYC? London? Cleveland?

They do. But people call you immature if you still enjoy that kind of *ADULTS only* kind of environment.

Wait, what? Dancing at clubs is considered immature now?

R4 if you're over 40

not my question, the question was. . .

wow, this sunk like a lead balloon

from this I can surmise that:

1. DL really doesn't have any younger posters

2. young folks today really don't dance in clubs

3. mine was the last generation when public dancing was encouraged.
