Rosalyn Carter 96 has entered hospice care

They have been married 77 years.

Truly amazing. I think I would get very, very sick of someone by then.

I hope Jimmy can hang on until he turns 100. If Rosalyn can make it to 100 they will also manage to get 81 years of marriage in.

He’s hung in a long time for being on hospice care.

It's much better than running to and fro to the doctor, they're home where they're happy and still attended. God bless them.

Try to imagine a 19-year-old bride today getting married in a dress like this...

I wish them both comfort and peace and the love of their family and friends.

I'll put R7's post in perspective. V-J Day was 6 weeks before my Mother's 5th birthday. She died last December at 82.

I'll bet they pass within hours of one another, when the time does come.

Met both of them at a Habitat event in Los Angeles circa 1995. Took time out to meet with all the volunteers to thank us for our time. Spent a moment or two with small groups of us before departing. Truly wonderful people.
