Nikki Haley Opens with 10 Point Lead on Biden for President

Are these people serious? I’m expecting Trump to have a meltdown any minute now.

[quote]NEW POLL: President Biden trails GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley by 10 points in 2024 matchup.

[quote]The poll found Haley with 55 percent to Biden’s 45 percent, a notably more significant margin than that of former President Trump.

Nimarata Randhawa - Vivek Ramaswamy 2024!

by Anonymousreply 1November 18, 2023 12:32 AM

This CUNT will never be President of the United States.

Never.

by Anonymousreply 2November 18, 2023 12:36 AM

Yeah, this is one of those bullshit polls. Not that I think they are actually lying about numbers or anything. But a lot of the respondents are doing the dumb bitch thing: I have no idea what Nikki Haley is really like or what she stands for so I'll create this fantasy in my mind and decide she's what I want in a president. I don't take polls seriously before there is an actual campaign between two actual people with actual positions and personas.

by Anonymousreply 3November 18, 2023 12:36 AM

“This is not a nursing home! I care…. A LOT!”

by Anonymousreply 4November 18, 2023 12:39 AM

Is she the Plan B if Trump's out, due to trials etc?

by Anonymousreply 5November 18, 2023 2:04 AM

She is all over the place. She just told Sean Hannity that if she were governor she would signed a 6 week abortion ban. Then she said that she would pull us out of the UN and out of the Paris Climate Treaty. This in in contract to her more centrist act. I can’t believe she actually thinks this will help her win an election. Maybe win the primaries, I don’t know but she’s giving Democrats a lot of sound bites and footage to run of her next year.

by Anonymousreply 6November 18, 2023 2:16 AM

Keep my poll out of your voice!

by Anonymousreply 7November 18, 2023 2:17 AM

Get a fucking grip. These polls are so ultra meaningless.

by Anonymousreply 8November 18, 2023 2:26 AM

Most people have little idea who she is.

by Anonymousreply 9November 18, 2023 3:09 AM

This proves that all of these polls are just garbage created to generate headlines. Why would Nikki Haley poll 10 points ahead of Biden? Where? National polling is a joke anyway since we have an Electoral College.

This bullshit must be so frustrating for the Biden campaign.

by Anonymousreply 10November 18, 2023 4:17 AM

Nonsense.

The Hill is a right wing operation so they print this garbage all the time. It certainly would be news if during the upcoming GOP Primary Elections Nikki Haley got more than 12%-15% in any one state. I wonder when The Hill will print that, lol.

by Anonymousreply 11November 18, 2023 4:35 AM

Keep thinking that, liberals. You thought the same thing about Hillary, making her totally overconfident.

by Anonymousreply 12November 18, 2023 8:09 PM

Absolutely no one should be discounted against Biden, especially since the "liberal media" is doing absolutely nothing to help him and bring to the public the accomplishments of his administration; they are all-Trump all the time. Nowhere from the Biden people is there anything about why people should vote FOR him, just why Trump is bad. Unless the Dems put forth a case for him, Trump has a great chance of winning.

by Anonymousreply 13November 18, 2023 8:34 PM

I'm guessing it's a lot of Republicans who are embarrassed of Trump and know Nikki being the first woman President would piss of liberals and kill Hilary Clinton.

by Anonymousreply 14November 18, 2023 8:42 PM

Polls also show that the ability to win is a low priority for Republican voters. They want Trump front and center, even if it means losing the race.

by Anonymousreply 15November 18, 2023 8:48 PM

I will never understand why this country is so determined to serve Donald Trump when he's done absolutely NOTHING for the country. I just don't get this reversal. There are people willing to put him back in the WH just so he can have "his" DOJ put a stop to the federal cases against and do lord knows what to the state prosecutors. So he can pardon and release all of these J6 thugs who have been found guilty and sentenced. I do not get it.

People must really hate this country. It used to be a Presidential candidate actually made campaign promises related to improving people's lives but all we've heard from Trump is vengeance and how he's going to ruin this country for decades to come and ruin our standing in the world by ceding to Putin. I don't understand the support for him other than he's a cult leader.

And Americans are really fucking themselves over. It took Germany really 5 decades, at least, to truly change the perception of themselves in the world. This authoritarian thing is a proven short term, DEAD END. And yet these fucking stupid Trump supporters are willing to plunge us into decades of stasis and decay where nothing will progress forward positively in any manner. Unbelievable.

by Anonymousreply 16November 19, 2023 12:24 PM

[QUOTE]Nimarata Randhawa

Am I the only one who thinks that the people constantly making a point of calling her Nimrata Randhawa are racist fucks trying to say that she isn't a real American? Nikki is a credible nickname (like Bill instead of William Clinton) while Haley is her married surname.

by Anonymousreply 17November 19, 2023 12:36 PM

Have they polled Kim Kardashian versus Biden?

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 18November 19, 2023 12:39 PM

Bitches, the important lesson that should be gleaned from this poll is that people look favorably on voting for someone YOUNGER and NEW. Fucking ridiculous these old politicians can’t exit gracefully, both Trump and Biden. If Nikki Haley gets the nomination and runs against Biden, she wins. This superficial culture is fucking terrified of aging, youth will always have an advantage over seniority.

by Anonymousreply 19November 19, 2023 12:47 PM

The same bitches on here posting MIGHTY JOE BIDEN everyday are probably also in another thread making fun of Madonna for not acting her age.

by Anonymousreply 21November 19, 2023 12:54 PM

R11

You see The Hill as a Right learning blog and thus discount a poll done by someone else.

But when organizations do a poll about The Hill almost all results shows it as a left leaning blog although your opinions might outweigh actual polls.

So a woman who can’t possibly get the GOP nod , unless don drops out, is way ahead of Biden but the guy who is going to get the gop nod, Donald trump, is only slightly ahead of Biden. That is called good dem news today.

Trump-Haley (which I do not think she would accept) would crush Biden-Harris it seems if the election were held today.

This law school had been doing surveys for years. They generally get a very good score for accuracy from 538.

If it’s Trump-Haley vs Biden-Harris it may be that the only thing that could stop trump is Romney+ someone running as a 3rdParty ticket.

Will progressives go from head in sand one November to jumping out of tall windows the next November?

Stay tuned to find out.

by Anonymousreply 22November 19, 2023 12:59 PM

A lot of the polls today are purposely skewed to lean a certain way rather than be a true objective indicator.

by Anonymousreply 23November 19, 2023 1:00 PM

I predicted years ago that Nikki Haley would be the first woman President of the US. She may not make it in 2024 but she's a lock in 2028. I

by Anonymousreply 24November 19, 2023 1:03 PM

I honestly think that even if something happens to Trump meaning that he's out of the race, more of his horrible voters would move to DeSantis than to Haley, so I don't see Haley having much chance. Even now, with Trump in the race, DeSantis is polling better than Haley.

Fair point, but we've had many local and national elections in the past seven years on which to base our opinion of polls like this one. And your observation, in fact, would mean that Nikki is the one in danger of overconfidence.

by Anonymousreply 27November 19, 2023 1:08 PM

First the election is a year away, second she's anti-abortion and she has already announced she is going after Social Security and Medicare.

by Anonymousreply 28November 19, 2023 1:11 PM

She really isn't even going to get the nomination. Why do you stress yourselves so much about her? The only way she gets it is if both Trump and DeSantis drop dead or drop out which is highly unlikely.

by Anonymousreply 32November 19, 2023 1:38 PM

She's saying what she had to in order to get primary votes. If she ran for President, she'd rush into the center. She was the SC Governor who toke the Confederate logo off their flag. She's a POC whose son in law is black and will soon have black grandkids. She's attractive and smart. I'm not predicting for 2024 but she'll be a force for years.

by Anonymousreply 35November 19, 2023 4:13 PM

I'm a leftist - not a liberal, but an actual leftist - and I will actually sit this election out which I have never done before, if it ends up being Nikki Haley vs Biden. I cannot stand it when people do not know when to exit with dignity. Women no longer have the constitutional right to their own bodies because Ruth Bader Ginsberg fucked everyone over. Never again. Biden promised he would run for one term in 2020 and he needs to do what is right for the country.

by Anonymousreply 36November 19, 2023 4:28 PM

That’s brilliant, r36! Ruth Bader Ginsburg expected to be replaced by the first female president. “Actual leftists” who pioneered your strategy in 2016 made sure RBG was not only replaced by a self-described handmaiden, but that she was accompanied by two more conservative justices who helped overturn Roe and affirmative action and voting rights. You are so so noble.

by Anonymousreply 37November 19, 2023 4:33 PM

[quote] Biden promised he would run for one term in 2020

A lot of people speculated he might make such a promise, but he never actually did. I’m not surprised he’s running again. I’m just surprised he’s doing such a shitty job campaigning. Hopefully his team is just waiting til it gets closer to the actual election to kick things into high gear.

by Anonymousreply 38November 19, 2023 4:35 PM

C-L-I-C-K-B-A-I-T.

The Hill is a right wing rag. Don't give them the clicks. Nimrata ain't beating Biden by 10 points. They should AT LEAST try and make it sound reasonable, like a 1 point win.

0/10

by Anonymousreply 39November 19, 2023 4:36 PM

[quote] Ruth Bader Ginsburg expected to be replaced by the first female president.

Then she was a fucking stupid bitch because she would have had to go back to George Bush I to find a time when the incumbent party controls the White House for three consecutive terms. And before that, it was FDR/Truman. It was more likely than not 2016 was going to have a Republican victor.

by Anonymousreply 45November 19, 2023 5:20 PM

Don’t be mad at me. I voted for Hillary and even canvassed in a big swing state. Most people on the left held their nose and voted for her out of hatred of Trump. Hillary lost on her own terms. No one forced her to call them “deplorables.”

by Anonymousreply 46November 19, 2023 5:28 PM

And Hillary lost because she took the Rust Belt for granted, even almost losing the most Democratic state in the country presidential election-wise, Minnesota (Humphrey’s only carry). The Jill Stein voters in Portland and Austin didn’t tip the election.

by Anonymousreply 47November 19, 2023 5:31 PM

Is the Jill Stein campaign shilling on here? 77,000 votes in 3 swing states lost her the electoral college. These presidential elections can lose the swing states by a point or two, so a vote for a spoiler like Jill Stein, RFK Jr, Manchin, Cornel West, and any other fool is like giving a vote to Trump.

That fucking bitch Stein should just move to St. Petersburg already. She's funded by Vlad.

by Anonymousreply 48November 19, 2023 6:06 PM

If Romney does come in , if he assumes Biden can’t hold serve and would lose to Trump, Romney a d May e Manchin, as a 3Rd Party ticket that is one that just might win.

That is a ticket that could excite those tired of alleged right or left extremes and comfortable in the center. If Biden continues to fall and there is no evidence the Dems are going to do something about it, I think Romney could be a real thing.

It would be be of the most exciting and crazy elections of modern history. And if Romney picked a VP better received than Manchin…..

by Anonymousreply 49November 19, 2023 6:14 PM

Jesus Christ the Democratic Party IS the centrist party. For fucks sake, fucking "centrists" are just what the 80s and 90s called country club Republicans, educated probusiness elitists who didn't really share many of the values of the koolaid drinkers in the Christian Coalition because they lived in the Northeast.

They will go full on total unlimited name calling until one side gives in. It could be long and loud.

Both sides think they are right and both sides think the other should die but tonight it’s all about name calling. Get ready to rumble

by Anonymousreply 57November 19, 2023 7:55 PM

Haley is dangerous because rethugs will line up behind her, as they always do, and a certain very vocal segment of Dems will vote for her because she's a woman and not a white male of the patriarchy establishment elite.

Vivek Ramaswamy is also a danger for the same reason.

Do not underestimate either of these people.

We all need to work actively to ensure a second Biden term if he runs or whoever his Dem successor is if he doesn't.

by Anonymousreply 58November 19, 2023 8:12 PM

[QUOTE]Vivek Ramaswamy is also a danger for the same reason.

Ramaswamy is a manic/coked up loon. If he hypothetically had the nomination, I think people would see that and be turned off.

What about DeSantis? The guy is just as bad as Trump, but would he be electable in a general election?

by Anonymousreply 59November 19, 2023 8:55 PM

by Anonymousreply 62November 20, 2023 12:57 AM

As a Democrat, I suspect she would beat Biden handily if she were the Republican nominee. Luckily, she's never going to be the Republican nominee.

Stating things often is not a plan, if trump drops out they will indeed nominate her, not desantis, and she will win,

Not stating that will not change the future,

The left the greens the lazy ignorant youth are going to fail you and the Dems.

by Anonymousreply 70November 20, 2023 9:06 AM

by Anonymousreply 71November 20, 2023 10:51 AM

by Anonymousreply 72November 20, 2023 11:28 AM

Interesting article opinion piece in the NYT .

If Haley drops out most of her support goes to desantis. If desantis drops out most of his support goes to Trump.

But if Haley-Desantis could come together and they have some favorable wind at their back it’s not totally impossible they might sneak by Donald.

IMO they beat Biden-Harris unless a massive turn out of people will likely not turn out.

They will have softened their message on abortion.

by Anonymousreply 73November 21, 2023 10:41 AM

It's also "not totally impossible" that a government scientist discovers an anti-aging mechanism and Joe Biden becomes younger and more physically agile before our eyes. But I wouldn't count on it.

by Anonymousreply 75November 21, 2023 11:17 AM

R75

Joe won’t get any younger but it’s not a stretch to see desantis hook up with Haley in an attempt to knock off trump. At that point they would get virtually every non MAGA total trump supporter to flock to them

That’s a ticket that could win maybe would win in the general election. it’s exactly what so many in the gop say they want. And that ticket should satisfy all those calling for the old people to die off.

My bet is that is a lot more likely than Joe turning 78 next year. About even money with Joe being in the race next October.

by Anonymousreply 76November 21, 2023 11:58 AM

It could win them the general election, R76, but neither of them are going to triumph over Trump in the GOP primary. The remaining candidates together are pulling half of Trump's numbers.

That said, I've had a gut feeling for a long while that Trump is not going to be the eventual GOP nominee for one reason or another.
