Peppermint Patty was such a bitch in this one. I never liked it even as a child.

Peppermint Patty called up Chuck and invited herself, Marci and Franklin over for Thanksgiving dinner. Snoopy prepared a feast consisting of buttered toast, popcorn, pretzels and jellybeans.

What do you think Charlie Brown's grandma said when he showed up for Thanksgiving dinner with a lesbian couple and a black kid?

In 1973, that would definitely have been a shock in real life. But the cartoon deliberately made it seem like no big deal at all. Want to set a good example for the kids.

Never mind.

R8 Charlie Brown did call his grandmother (who lived in a condominium) beforehand and explained to her that his guests were “still here”. He told grandma that Peppermint Patty was a girl who played baseball. This should have alerted her that she was a lesbian.

Lucy, Sally, Peppermint Patty were bitchy

Peppermint Patty's real name was not (ahem) "Pricilla." The character's real full name was Patricia Reichardt. She joins Charlie and Sally Brown, and Lucy, Linus and Rerun Van Pelt as Peanuts characters whose last names were revealed. Most of the rest were not: Marcie, Schroeder, Franklin, Frieda, Violet, Shermy etc.

R17 that’s what they said her real name was in the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving cartoon. Sorry!

R17, pretty sure Schroeder's last name was revealed, it was his first name that was not.

We played it for my niece on VHS and without commercials, it was only about 20 minutes long. She complained about it being so short.
