I couldn't even make it through the trailer. I hate the overuse of dark moody lighting.

Yo this cannot be real. How long is this opening narrative? Boyfriend had to go to bed early for big day tomorrow. Fassbender has my bussy wet.

Bump

I started watching it but it was so slow and even the “exciting” parts were slow. Just Michael narrating. I made it through about 20 minutes.

R4 Does he narrate the entire film. Good God that is tedious.

I’m only interested in it if it’s The Killer Cock.
Fassbender and Fincher should remake Cruising. His wife can play the Karen Allen role, she’s boyish enough.

Thought about going to see it in the theater as I love the cinema and I know I'll eventually watch it because Fincher (and Fassbinder), but this thread isn't giving me hope.

Not among Fincher's greatest but definitely a movie that shows his skill and restraint as a filmmaker. Imagine the same story in the hands of a lesser director, a zillion cuts, frantic editing, a couple of high wire chase scenes. Not Fincher though. He keeps the film planted firmly on its existential themes. I get it that people expect a story about an assassin to be full of action but that's not this movie. This is more of an internal trip through the mind of a hired killer and it moves more slowly than action movies but it's relentless, culminating in that creepy last episode with Tilda Swinton. I recommend it but only to those who don't need every movie to be Transformers.

I finally watched Dragon Tattoo the other night. Fincher is always a mixed bag but I was unprepared for how devastating the final scene was. It really got me.

Zodiac and 7 are among my favorite films.

I have a huge crush on Fassbender and I know he’s an asshole but damn that body, cock, face….everything.
