Another Flop For the Trans Haters

Every time their crazy obsession gets put on the ballot, it loses.

Latest case: Andy Beshear in Kentucky.

The Rs whole assault on him was trans-panic-based. "He allows teenage girls to cut off their breasts!!! He poisons kids with hormones!!!"

And it flopped.

The issue that steered this election was abortion.

by Anonymousreply 2November 8, 2023 4:51 PM

R2 The GOP in Kentucky & Virginia pushed the LGBT issues for some big possible swing votes but they failed miserably.

by Anonymousreply 3November 8, 2023 7:40 PM

R2, so, what you're saying is that abortion matters to people more than picking on a minority that makes up .6% of the population?

Right-wingers in Kentucky spent millions on ads featuring right-wing anti-trans activist Riley Gaines. She also campaigned with woman beater Herschel Walker, who lost

by Anonymousreply 4November 8, 2023 7:51 PM

I rarely pay attention to Kentucky, except when the jokes write themselves.

I hadn't realized that the governor was a Democrat.

Why is the state so backwards on everything else, but willing to elect a Democrate governor? I guess they really do hate black people more than Democrats.

by Anonymousreply 5November 8, 2023 7:52 PM

It's just funny to me that the anti-trans loons act like they're the ones speaking for the fed-up majority when the reality is that most people don't find trans issues terribly motivating and the trans-hating activists are off-putting and weird.

by Anonymousreply 6November 8, 2023 7:58 PM

R5 Beshear is an incumbent governor.

The previous Republican governor he unseated in 2019 was white, but don't let that stop you.

by Anonymousreply 7November 8, 2023 8:03 PM

It's like breeders toss and turn all night long agonizing over LGBTQ issues.

by Anonymousreply 8November 8, 2023 8:09 PM

Democrats won big because the Republican attacks on abortion are too extreme and most Americans don’t agree. Trans was not a factor this time because there were bigger issues, but don’t be fooled into thinking pro-trans isn’t a big drain for Democrats. Most people think trans is lunacy.

by Anonymousreply 9November 8, 2023 8:10 PM

R9 Sure Jan...

by Anonymousreply 10November 8, 2023 8:12 PM

[quote] Most people think trans is lunacy.

Sweetie, you and your imaginary friends aren't "most" people

by Anonymousreply 11November 8, 2023 8:23 PM

R9 firmly believes the Christo-fascists like Mike Johnson are gay peoples' best friends, and that they'll leave gay people alone if gays and lesbians throw trannies under the bus.

Such pitiful, pathetic reasoning.

by Anonymousreply 12November 8, 2023 9:03 PM

Most people are opposed to biological men in women’s sports, transitioning minors and intact men in women’s locker rooms/changing areas. Those issues weren’t big issues that people vote/voted on.

Abortion, economy, health care, and crime are universal issues. Trans issues are fringe and fringe issues for or against don’t decide elections.

Youngkin was the GOP’s latest anti trump hope for 2024 and he didn’t deliver.

by Anonymousreply 13November 8, 2023 9:31 PM

R13 Gay marriage was a fringe issue after Mass. legalized it in the '03 & it decided many elections until Obama came out for it while prez. Bush 2 even came out for a Con. amendment banning it in order to get a 2nd term in '04.

Also the Kentucky GOP guy for Gov. campaigned on those trans issues to get in office & we saw how that turned out for him in the Bluegrass state of all places LOL.

Some of the GOP in Virginia went after the trans in that state in order to get more power for Youngkin & we saw how that turned out. The trans democrat also was returned for another upcoming term.

The Penn. GOP made trans issues a part of their local school board elections & that also didn't turn out too well for them either based on what I read.

by Anonymousreply 14November 8, 2023 9:49 PM

Everyone hates trannys.

by Anonymousreply 15November 8, 2023 9:52 PM

^ Everybody hates the GOP.

by Anonymousreply 16November 8, 2023 10:08 PM

[quote]The Rs whole assault on him was trans-panic-based.

Honey, you are delusional.

Andy Beshear is the very popular Democratic governor of a very red state, and you think the reason he just won reelection is because the people of Kentucky wanted to send a message -- to no one in particular, mind you -- that minors' rights to puberty blockers and cross-sex surgery must be protected at all costs?

Yeah, I'm gonna need to see some exit polling on that, dipshit.

Probably has more to do with his support for abortion rights than any of the delusional, disordered nonsense you are babbling about.

by Anonymousreply 17November 8, 2023 10:13 PM

[quote]Sweetie, you and your imaginary friends aren't "most" people

Then why are you so concerned?

by Anonymousreply 18November 8, 2023 10:15 PM

[quote]Beshear’s victory is a testament to the strong personal brand he’s built in an increasingly Republican state. The son of a former governor, he sought to separate himself from national Democrats and focused heavily on state and local economic issues, defying political trends and heading into Tuesday’s elections as the slight favorite.

He actually won by distancing himself from the fringe politics dominating the Democratic party these days, including the far left's embrace of gender activism. The blueprint to win is to steer clear of the trans lobby and their attempts to erase gender from the equation.

Get a grip, OP. The only flop here is this poorly-reasoned post.

But then, the trans lobby does seem to love taking credit for everyone else's hard work, don't they?

[quote]The blueprint to win is to steer clear of the trans lobby and their attempts to erase gender from the equation.

This can’t be repeated enough. Besides trans, Democrats need to drop “defund the police” and “more Muslims” if they expect to win.

by Anonymousreply 20November 8, 2023 10:28 PM

Beshear was visibly active after the floods and tornados. He got help to the people who needed it, and it arrived quickly. He returned to those areas many times to see the progress and talk to the people individually. He worked hard to build a new bridge to Cincinnati without charging a toll, as was initially planned. He succeeded.

It's not so much what he believed than what he did. Action got results. He was rewarded.

by Anonymousreply 21November 8, 2023 10:35 PM

Sorry R19 The bottom line is that if trans issues were the winning hand then the GOP Gov. guy would've been the next one sitting it the Gov. mansion.

He made it no secret signing anti-trans bills would be one of his top priorities in bill signing "media moments" of his first term (like Gov. Huckabeast & her child labor bill signing press moment) & the majority of voters in the Bluegrass state could not have cared less.

No new anti-trans GOP governor means no anti-trans bill signing moments for ya over the next couple of years.

by Anonymousreply 22November 8, 2023 10:44 PM

Sorry R22 but no one is going to win on allowing men to compete in women’s sports, or transitioning minors which is why democrats are avoiding those issues like the plague.

R14 how gay rights activists turned the issue around was to show that a gay marriage wasn’t an issue that would affect someone’s marriage or everyday life and were able to differentiate between the religious and legal parts of marriage.

Rejecting reality will never be a winning issue.

by Anonymousreply 23November 8, 2023 11:07 PM

Beshear has a great chance of becoming the Dem Presidential nominee in 2028.

by Anonymousreply 24November 8, 2023 11:17 PM

He's a good man. He never coddles people or says things seeking approval ratings. He just works. I would gladly support him in a presidential bid.

by Anonymousreply 25November 8, 2023 11:55 PM

That's right R23. Rejecting trans reality will never be a winning issue for your side.

by Anonymousreply 26November 9, 2023 1:41 AM

“Trans reality”? You mean autogynophilia? Yeah that’s not a winning issue for anyone.

by Anonymousreply 27November 9, 2023 3:11 AM

by Anonymousreply 28November 9, 2023 3:46 AM

by Anonymousreply 30November 9, 2023 6:31 AM

Yeah, when you look at the actual numbers and what people care most about, trans issues is very low down on the list.

by Anonymousreply 31November 9, 2023 6:40 AM

They fuck their sisters and farm animals. What would you expect?

by Anonymousreply 32November 9, 2023 6:44 AM

[quote]that minors' rights to puberty blockers and cross-sex surgery must be protected at all costs?

No, sweetie. Those with fifth grade reading comprehension skills would be able to figure out that the point is that it's not terribly important to normal people. That your deranged obsession with trans people puts you in a sad, freakish minority.

Now go find friends to play with and turn off your Motorola Moto

by Anonymousreply 33November 9, 2023 2:09 PM

R33 I think you’re the one who’s obsessed and deranged.

If most people don’t care as you say, then they don’t care not oppose when laws banning youth transition and men participating in women’s sports laws go on the books.

Oh and please stop comparing marriage equality to extreme TRA agendas.

by Anonymousreply 34November 9, 2023 2:43 PM

R34: your constant regurgitation of Christo-fascist talking points and your constant over exaggeration of "extreme TRA agendas" (whatever the fuck they are, probably just a figment of your imagination) are just one big pile of bullshit.

You keep making the mistake of thinking that if gay men and lesbians align themselves with a little, deeply closeted/severely mentally disturbed faggot like Mike Johnson, that he and people like him simply want to play nice with gay men and lesbians, and if only gay men and lesbians would work with a gutless, spineless little weasel like Johnson to help eliminate those pervy trans, he/they will leave gay people alone. I'm here to tell you couldn't be more wrong.

The election on Tuesday should tell you and your neo nazi "allies" something: keep your fucking nose of out peoples' private lives, regardless of whether they are women seeking abortions, trans parents/trans people seeking medical/psychological care, or gay/lesbians wanting marriage equality.

by Anonymousreply 35November 9, 2023 3:07 PM

I seem to have blocked R34 (and with good reason, it seems).

If people don't see an issue as being terribly important, they usually find people burning with rage about it to be weird and off-putting and viewing their derangement with suspicion and apprehension. Telling parents how to raise their kids and dictating to people what medical procedures they can undergo strikes most normal people as wrong and not a thing we should be bothered with.

And as a side note, sweetie, your sentence construction is terrible (then they don't care not to oppose...what?).

by Anonymousreply 36November 9, 2023 3:24 PM

R35/36 thanks for proving how sane you are. I’m guessing you spend most of your day making rape and death threats against “terfs” on Twitter and are planning another “queers for Palestine” rally.

R35/36 you’re delusional if you think most people are in favor of minors going through chemical or surgical transitions. Newsflash they aren’t. The same goes for males in sports.

If Joe Biden came out against minors transitioning or allowing trans women to compete in sports, he wouldn’t lose votes. Some loud noise by a few fringe activists but nothing of consequence.

Now go dilate that nasty stinkditch of yours!

by Anonymousreply 37November 9, 2023 3:52 PM

"Now go dilate that nasty stinkditch of yours!"

Right back at you, you pathetic excuse for a human being/loser.

by Anonymousreply 38November 9, 2023 3:59 PM

Sorry R38 I don’t have a coloncunt like you do.

by Anonymousreply 39November 9, 2023 4:06 PM

[quote]Now go find friends to play with and turn off your Motorola Moto

Bitch what? LOL.

You are struggling.

by Anonymousreply 40November 9, 2023 4:19 PM

It was abortion, not trans issues, that won him the election.

by Anonymousreply 41November 9, 2023 4:43 PM

Yes, dear, the point of the thread is that trans issues have little to no electoral valence, despite the ravings of the DL trans-hating loons

by Anonymousreply 42November 9, 2023 4:53 PM

R4 You seem to be one of the posters who keeps citing statistics with no source.

FWIW again, here is a number from last year about young folks.

You can characterize Republicans as picking on trans; the probably are. But calling women TERFs who want to feel safe when they disrobe in public in same sex facilities is picking on them too.

by Anonymousreply 43November 9, 2023 5:00 PM

R37 is probably organizing the "Queers For Mike Johnson" rally

Bet you send death threats to trans people and liberals

The Log Cabinettes are on the same side as this guy:

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 45November 9, 2023 5:04 PM

R43 - I wouldn't necessarily call them TERFs, more like hysterical drama queens.

This is like getting yourself all worked up over fentanyl-laced candy on Halloween.

It's like getting yourself all worked up over schools installing litter boxes in bathrooms.

It's a phantom - an imagined thing to fixate on so you can either forget your real problems or help you ignore society's real problems because you don't want to do anything about them.

by Anonymousreply 46November 9, 2023 5:09 PM

R46 is the “it never happens” troll. It’s a semi fringe issue with a lot of unhinged loud activists . Outside of activists, you don’t see many people getting outraged about banning transgender women from sports they way they did about abortion.

Republicans amplify it, democrats tend to minimize/ignore it. It’s not a winning issue for either side but for different reasons.

by Anonymousreply 47November 9, 2023 5:16 PM

[quote] But calling women TERFs who want to feel safe when they disrobe in public in same sex facilities is picking on them too.

It's not just picking on them. Women are being coerced into sharing private spaces with men and then being insulted for protesting. Anyone who resorts to using TERF as any kind of response is a misogynist without a valid argument.

by Anonymousreply 48November 10, 2023 9:22 PM

[quote] Women are being coerced into sharing private spaces with men

They are? Where? How often does this happen? Is this happening so often that we need to be super upset about it (like you are)?

by Anonymousreply 49November 13, 2023 3:56 PM

Yes, R49, we need to stop it from happening at all. No dicks in women's private spaces, period. Enough with that nonsense.

by Anonymousreply 50November 13, 2023 4:56 PM

No one of the hysterical trans-hating loons can put any perspective on the "problem" they fulminate against. I understand that YOU hate it, but is it really common enough that us normal people should give a shit?

by Anonymousreply 51November 14, 2023 4:21 PM

Oh just go away R51. But yes, we should give a shit. I wouldn't want my 8 year old daughter to have to deal with a dude in women's clothes showing dick in the dressing room. And would it be so hard for him to use the men's or is he going to have a nervous breakdown if he has to? So fuck off and dedicate your life to something useful.

by Anonymousreply 52November 14, 2023 4:32 PM

It's useful to shriek on a gay message board about being terrified of something that doesn't happen? Are you scared of your daughter (you don't have a daughter) getting fentanyl-laced candy for Halloween? Is there any other imaginary bullshit that enrages you?

by Anonymousreply 53November 14, 2023 4:36 PM

Yes, woke idiots like you but you're not imaginary.

by Anonymousreply 54November 14, 2023 4:39 PM

Your faux right wing talking points hold no weight here, r54.

by Anonymousreply 55November 14, 2023 4:58 PM

R54 likes to pretend the elections last Tuesday didn't happen, and that Moms for Liberty with their sanctimonious, faux-Christian bullshit agendas didn't get their asses handed to them in school board elections THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY.

Keep sticking your head up your ass, R54. It's a very becoming look for you.

by Anonymousreply 56November 14, 2023 5:09 PM

Last Tuesday was about abortion rights, not transwomen in little girls' bathrooms.

by Anonymousreply 57November 14, 2023 5:58 PM

Yes, sweetie. The point, which has been made upthread, is that the Republicans *tried to make it about transwomen in little girls' bathrooms and it FLOPPED.

No one cared.

by Anonymousreply 58November 14, 2023 6:54 PM

Electorally speaking, the best case that can be made for supporting trans rights is that it won’t hurt you. But it’s never going to help you.

by Anonymousreply 59November 14, 2023 7:14 PM

The same could be said about supporting the rights of virtually any minority.

The Ds would pick up a lot of white votes if they regularly shit on black people.

by Anonymousreply 60November 14, 2023 7:21 PM

R58 You still don't get it, sugar. Those votes were in favor of legal abortion regardless of any other issues. Women rightfully want to be able to make their own decisions about their bodies and this trumped all other considerations. Things might have turned out differently if the abortion issue had not been on the ballot. This, pumpkin, has nothing to do with voters in Red states supporting trans causes.

by Anonymousreply 61November 14, 2023 9:35 PM

Sweetie, you're the one who doesn't get it.

No one said anything about people *supporting trans causes.

They simply don't care that much.

Trans haters are weird and scary and off-putting. Please reflect on that!

by Anonymousreply 62November 14, 2023 9:42 PM

If only R61 devoted 1/10 of the energy he spends on hating trans to a significant cause, like the pending elimination of democracy in America by a deranged psychopath, or the establishment of a religious theocracy right here in the United States by gay hating crazies.

But the trans hill is the hill she chooses to die on. Sad.

by Anonymousreply 63November 14, 2023 9:49 PM

Amen, r63.

by Anonymousreply 64November 14, 2023 9:51 PM

Double Amen R63 R64.

by Anonymousreply 65November 14, 2023 9:56 PM

R62 going by your logic no one cared that trans athletes were banned from sports as well as restrictions put on youth transitions since mostly TRAs protested these laws and there was minimal pushback to them.

A politician will never lose an election if he says trans women shouldn’t be in women’s prisons. Same with sports, locker rooms and youth transition.

by Anonymousreply 66November 14, 2023 10:26 PM

[quote]They simply don't care that much.

Right.

And that is exactly why all of the laws passed recently banning "gender-affirming" care for children are going to remain on the books.

You're going to have an awful hard time stamping out what you claim is bigotry written into state laws across the country when people "simply don't care that much."

And you think this is something to brag about?

What a hollow "victory."

by Anonymousreply 67November 14, 2023 10:47 PM

The history of the country is rife with hysterical mobs writing their paranoia into law. Such is the case here with trans people.

The trans-loons who infest the DL are part of that mob and part of that hysteria and will have a lot to answer for.

The election in KY is maybe a sign the hysteria is breaking? Or maybe a sign that it was never terribly widespread and loonies pushed through these awful, punitive laws without a wide basis of support?

Anyway. R67 assumes the stance of world-weary wisdom when really she's just another loonie twat.

by Anonymousreply 68November 15, 2023 3:40 PM

Who are you calling "she?"

I am male. Stop misgendering me.

As to the substance of your comments, the plain fact of the matter is your side is losing.

[quote]With the subject more in the public eye than ever before, you might assume transgender people’s quest for rights would be gaining significant support across the country. Not so, reveals a survey conducted in three southwestern and western states, and released today.

Where are your allies?

by Anonymousreply 70November 15, 2023 5:51 PM

[quote]Looking further, in addition to finding that restrictive policies had overwhelming support among Republicans, the team also found — and this is a key factor — a significant number of Democrats to also be hesitant for lenient laws to be set, throwing more numbers to the side of opposition.

Could it possibly be because your uninformed, delusional belligerence has turned even your natural against you?

by Anonymousreply 71November 15, 2023 5:53 PM

"The election in KY is maybe a sign the hysteria is breaking? Or maybe a sign that it was never terribly widespread and loonies pushed through these awful, punitive laws without a wide basis of support?"

You were saying, R68?

by Anonymousreply 72November 15, 2023 5:54 PM

And I will never, ever forget the bullshit the anti-trans lunatics were spreading around here this past spring and summer: If gays and lesbians would only sell the trans down the river, the Christo fascists will leave gays and lesbians (particularly gay/lesbian marriage) alone.

I knew it was complete bullshit, everybody else knows Christo-fascists are the biggest, bold face liars in the history of the world, but you couldn't tell DL's anti-trans assholes like R69 anything. They think Christo-fascists are honest, compassionate people when the exact opposite is the truth. You simply can't and don't reason with religious fanatics.

Talk about hysteria = R73

by Anonymousreply 74November 15, 2023 7:13 PM

by Anonymousreply 75November 15, 2023 7:28 PM

by Anonymousreply 77November 15, 2023 7:58 PM

There goes R75 again, always with a well grounded retort to show off his maturity and intelligence. 🙄

by Anonymousreply 78November 16, 2023 10:32 PM

It's a little strange how the trans haters always tut-tut about foul language and things but, when pressed, come out with these sick, pornographic fantasies about what happens in locker rooms and doctor's offices.

by Anonymousreply 79November 17, 2023 6:05 PM

R79 is projecting again.

by Anonymousreply 80November 17, 2023 6:07 PM

R81, who is they? Professional trolls?

by Anonymousreply 82November 17, 2023 6:33 PM

by Anonymousreply 83November 17, 2023 6:40 PM
