“It Follows” sequel, “They Follow”, officially happening.

David Robert Mitchell will return to write and direct the film and Maika Monroe will reprise her lead role.

Jesus, I didn’t realize this came out in 2014. It’s about to be 10 years?! I remember going to see it in theaters and people screaming when the tall guy walks behind her in the doorway.

Cue the nonbinary jokes with a title like that. The original is a great horror movie; a simple premise with an effective execution. It surprised me that the director's career didn't take off after. It seemed he got mired by his followup, "Under the Silver Lake" (which I also liked, albeit less so).

I can’t believe the film is about to be 10 years old. Wtf.

I actually need to say that whenever it comes to horror movies, most of them don’t scare me, but this one genuinely scared me. I think about this movie all the time lol. I’m not even exaggerating that this movie sometimes pops in my head randomly because I think about how scary the concept of this film is and how it would be to have something that follows you, and there is no escaping it.

R3 same here. I think it is so memorable because it plays with a universal fear of being followed or preyed upon. We've all had nightmares in which we experience something like this, and the film captured that kind of surreal terror perfectly.

R4 yes. And being followed or preyed upon is bad enough, but this demonic entity that wants to kill you following you and there is literally no escaping it? Terrifying

Maika Monroe is a pretty solid actress, so I'm glad she's coming back for this. I thought she was great in the little-seen indie flick "Watcher" which came out last year. A very moody, creepy thriller.
