Paradis has a very French beauty aesthetic. She was an icon in France. The French like women who are not necessarily perfect mannequin beauty queens, but instead have a bit of uniqueness and bohemian charm.

Also, when Paradis was expertly put together by professional makeup artists and hair stylists etc she of course looked much different from this photo.

Most of the French beauty icons, from Bardot to Paradis to Carla Bruni, have a bit of an unkept, girlish, elfin look. French beauty is not Hollywood style with the heavy make-up, generic features, etc

Anyway I think Depp and young Paradis were indeed one of the most beautiful couples in the world
