R11 is at the least partially right since I can't swear to the drug claim, but it was revealed many years ago that he owed people money, people you definitely did not want to run out on your debts from. It probably was drugs, but I find it suspect that he expected to pay off his debts by doing such low paid work as porn. I'm guessing, like most other guys in porn back in those days, he was using the porn work as an advertisement for a prostitution enterprise, where he could make some real money.

With the right circumstances (like a good agent or better connections) he might've carved out a niche as a comedic character actor type. He also could have done voice work or even stage work. But he didn't, and wound up in porn within a few years. A trajectory like that is usually because of addiction. He had talent, and while his physicality precluded big-BIG roles, he could've made it work if he had played his cards right.

Online says DH is 5'5". Of course it's probably inflated but 4'10" is well into "little person" definition. He is not 4'10". Regardless, Stephen Geoffreys isn't Dustin Hoffman and no one is claiming that drugs didn't play a part. He was never going to be the next Dustin Hoffman anyway. He could've avoided porn by setting his sights lower on a more reliable paycheck. Commercials, voice work, even sitcoms. He wasn't going to be a box office star but he could've avoided porn -- and extremely low budget porn at that.

Why didn't he remake himself as a Falcon twink? A few sessions in the gym and a trip to a waxer/colorist and he'd be set. If he had to do porn, why was it such bad porn?
