Warhol may have cared about a lot of things, but the absurdity of fame always shone through for him in his art.

I think it was Warhol who said that in t he future everyone will be famous for 15 minutes, thus coining the phrase.

R15 you can read such info right on auction sites. Someone bought it from a London Gallery in 2002. Owner is private. Pia sold it, so Pia is not but buyer. Someone else.
