I haven't watched since season 1, so my question would be how did he get to France? Are airlines still a thing?

It makes no sense.

I've never watched any of those shows, but I do think DD is Handsome.

In the early seasons they say the French had the last international science research lab to fall and they were close to finding a cure.

I'm only guessing but I suppose that's the reason he is in France.

Too late. I quit watching about five or six years ago.

Here's the summary of the series:

"Daryl washes ashore in France (the origin of the zombie virus[2]) and struggles to piece together how he got there and why. The series tracks his journey across a broken but resilient France as he hopes to find a way back home. As he makes the journey, though, the connections he forms along the way complicate his ultimate plan".

So he "washes ashore" in France apparently... Like we all do at some point in our lives.

And he immediately meets some "sizzling" zombies who make his arm sizzle.

It's weird and funny at the same time.

If you see the way he washed ashore in episode one, you'd think the show is completely ridiculous.

I'm amazed at how every single person in France speaks English on this show!!!!

Even though that has NEVER been my experience, in my numerous visits to France.

What a miracle that after the Z apocalypse, French people suddenly all speak English.

Because of this thread I watched the first 15 minutes of episode 1 yesterday and nearly died of boredom. As a TWD character, Dixon is known for only speaking when absolutely necessary - not a great character to have as the main character in anything.

I almost think that this show was paid for by the French government, as an advertising tool for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The whole thing seems like a ploy, because there's no good reason for Daryl to be in France.

I did, however, like the nightclub scene with the drag queen. That was a new twist for The Walking Dead franchise.

I just realized that the guy who plays the French lady's boyfriend is Adam Nagaitis from "The Terror."

I've actually loved this season, mainly thanks to the French influence of the show.

They're going to visit Mont-Saint-Michel on tonight's episode.
