This one's a surprise to me, I thought for sure when he dropped out of the limelight it would be to set up housekeeping with a male partner and adopt Asian babies or tiny lapdogs.

This one definitely throws me. Berfield got so queeny in the later years of MITM I thought for sure he would come out.

However I suspect maybe there was confusion about the term "partner" used when Berfield was investing in real estate toward the end of his Hollywood career. Maybe the guy really was just a business partner and people extrapolated incorrectly they were romantically involved.
