Sounds like the WGA and Studio CEOs are finally close to a deal

Finally, that True Detective bump to January fucking broke me, I've been looking forward to it for so long. Not to mention that we were homophobically robbed of the Red, White & Royal Blue promo tour, and now the Fellow Travellers one as well.

So the WGA strike is almost over. Yay. We'll be able to watch Bill Maher and Drew Barrymore. Yay.

Thank goodness. I read today that once a deal is done with the WGA, it could possibly be used as a template for a deal with the actors.

Deal reached. It's over.

WGA leadership is calling the deal "exceptional" with meaningful gains for all sections of their membership. Sounds like the studios woke up and realized they were going to get labelled as the spoilers in all of this (rightfully so), so they got down to business and hammered out a fair deal.

Next up: SAG/AFTRA.

The Last of Us still won't return until 2025. Shit, I like that show.

Well, the actors are still on strike, so it's not as if new shows are anywhere near happening.

Great news! Now I hope SAG whoops on them even worse. Don’t even get me started on the UAW.

Let’s concentrate on the impending government shutdown.
