Disney pulling tons of 20th Century Fox shows from Hulu including Arrested Development, despite having just raised the price by three dollars per month. The purchase of 20th was done explicitly to provide Disney with a huge catalog of titles for streaming!
I really think it’s possible at this point Disney will sell the most of the catalog and shutter the 20th Century name. The film studio just had one huge flop in Haunting in Venice and is expecting another in The Creator, out next weekend.

I never thought I’d see the end of tv in my lifetime. I guess I should have seen it coming, thought. My parents and grandparents saw the end of radio during their lifetimes.

I had no idea that Hill Street Blues and the Practice were on Hulu! I’ve wanted to watch them again as I haven’t seen them since they aired. I wonder where I’ll be able to find them now. I’m bummed.

What I worry about with Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox's catalogue is that a lot of their films also may become hard to watch in the coming years. Some of them are not available for streaming at all, and I don't envision Disney repressing any Blu-ray discs or DVDs. Many of the 20th Century Fox Blu-ray releases are out of circulation and quite expensive ("Working Girl" is an example of this).

Some have smaller but devoted fans (Better off Ted, Apt 23), but a few of these are huge shows (no matter how old they may be) and this is going to piss people off.

I did a 1 month trial with Hulu and I’m watching The Practice, NYPD Blue, Hill Street Blues until they’re no longer available,
Oh and St. Elswhere is still one of my favorite shows. Tim Robbins at 24 as a bomber.

I just got back from seeing it, in IMAX, no less.
It was interesting. Sort of unsettling. It reminded me a little bit of District 9 or was it 7??
The effects were spectacular and a lot of explosions going on.
It was incongruous. Rice paddy farming next to futuristic space ships and a big command center.
Plus the ending was a little difficult to like, honestly. Yes, I’m horrible. It was weird to not know who to root for. 🤷🏻♀️
