How do I get the gunk off the inside of my twenty year old water bottle. I’ve tried white vinegar.

I would fill the bottle with half boiling water and half vinegar, this is hot I get scaling and minerals off my metal kettle.

Denture tabs. Seriously. Just buy the non mint unflavored ones. Only use half a tab. Your bottle will look like new.

by Anonymousreply 12September 24, 2023 8:24 AM

Isopropanol and rock salt.

by Anonymousreply 13September 24, 2023 2:23 PM

Coarse salt rather.

by Anonymousreply 14September 24, 2023 2:24 PM

buy powdered citric acid (Asian grocery stores have it) or coffee pot cleansers (which contains citric acid) . Worth a try

by Anonymousreply 15September 24, 2023 2:26 PM

There are tablets marketed for this on Amaxon; I just use my nightguard ckeaning crystals for 15 min (I guess it's the same as denture fizz).

by Anonymousreply 16September 24, 2023 2:28 PM

Amaxon

Calgene

If it's plastic, throw it out before it kills you.

If it's glass, then use rice. Rice is also great for cleaning narrow glass vases. Chuck some salt in with it if you want extra scrub, and jiggle vigorosly.

Fire and salt

Coke and Dawn soap

WD-40 and orange juice

by Anonymousreply 19September 24, 2023 3:58 PM

Why would old Nalgeen kill me? I used bleach and white vinegar to clean the brown spots. I didn’t know mold could grow in water, only in moisture.

I hope you're hung.
