This looks very interesting. Apparently we have to watch some other series to "get" this one, is that right?

Isnt Griselda what she calls her pussy?

by Anonymousreply 2September 22, 2023 12:21 PM

They made an entire movie about a woman inside a desk?

by Anonymousreply 3September 22, 2023 4:53 PM

Is this about the lady who shot Selena?

by Anonymousreply 4September 22, 2023 5:06 PM

Damn. They made Sofia look *almost* not insanely gorgeous.

Watching this for all the hot men (Alberto Guerra, Gabriel Sloyer). But Vargara comes close to Mommie Dearest level camp at times

I think they've added a prosthetic nose on her- it's strangely wrinkled on the upper bridge of her nose and in between her eyebrows, where the prosthetic edges are.

At times I swear it looks like you're watching a trans actress.

Kind of slow not nearly as good as Narcos, which was done by the same people. But worth watching. It appears to be quite historically accurate. And she dies a very good job.

I wanted to like it more.

Narcos season one I could watch several times. This is a one off.

r9 - Maybe I need to give Narcos another shot. I just recall the first episode featuring a ton of narration which I find so unappealing in film/tv. To me, over-reliance on narration is just demonstrating that the writer/showrunners couldn't find an effective way to dramatize the events -- show, don't tell, right? Anyway, is the whole series plagued by endless narration? If not, I'll give it another shot.
