Most Abrahamic religions are anti-gay except Conservative and Reform Judaism and Mainline Protestantism (Episcopalians, Lutherans, Presbyterians, United Methodists). Islam does not approve of LGBT but it was not anti-LGBT when it was under Turkic Islamic Caliphates (Mughal India, Ottoman Empire, Turkic reigns of Iran), Turkey is the most tolerant Muslim-majority country because it remained true to its Turkic roots of secularism.

I don’t think religion will ever die but I’m glad Hellenism (Ancient Greek religion) and Yoruba religion is making a comeback. Hinduism is going strong and India is protective of it from Islamic extremists and Christian missionaries. Polytheism, pantheism (Taoism, Sikhism) and transtheism (Buddhism) has more tolerance towards sexual orientations and gender expressions. It seems hatred towards gays didn’t start to take off until hardcore monotheism like Judaism and its spin-offs Christianity and Islam got popular with empires
